So when being new to identifying found objects what's good practice, pointers, how-to's? I found this item a few weeks ago and have no clue where to begin on cleaning? Cutting in half? Melting? Smashing did nothing,lol

Any help in direction will be greatly appreciated 🤘

Tossed that piece in my pocket this morn so while I was out feeding id swing in the shop and cut this bad boy in half.

I'd completely forgotten - one of my first posts from three years ago and it looked a LOT like yours! The consensus on mine was melted aluminum as well. I reemember not wanting to believe it because I was SURE i'd found something worth millions

I was finding alot of pics too. Alot of different types but since I cut this in half and it's solid shiny core with just a crust layer I'm staying with the can in fire🤘
