1878 Indian head penny
1904 V nickel
1907 barber dime (oldest foreign find 1900 Spanish 50 cent silver, dime sized)
1943 Washington quarter

Dang, thats awesome, did you find it in the reject tray or inside the machine after a teller had to open it

Inside the machine, I opened it myself. These types of machines are real user friendly, and no bags :) they just dont accept large dollar coins, and they just spin around inside until someone plucks it out... glad it was me :)

ETA: I find ikes often, but this is the first silver ive ever found in these machines. I also found a silver half dollar inside the machine with this morgan. Which is odd cause the machine takes half dollars. Maybe it doesnt accept silver? Ive never wanted to throw one in to try it out lol.

Awesome Morgan and thanks for bumping since I can now add to this thread. Earlier this week I found my oldest CRH find: 1900-O Barber Half

OK folks, thanks for bringing my thread back up to the top, you can add the oldest find from each denomination too! EX: 1878 Indian penny, 1904 V nickel, 1946 roosie dime, etc.
Thanks for looking.

I found an 1854 Large Cent (US) in a bag of Half Dollars in March, smashed on one side from the coin counter...but it was a sweet find

This is my oldest find 1899 and it was an ender in the box. HH, Maverick.

Cent: 1912
Nickel: 1936
Dime: 1916S
Quarter: 1964
Half: 1907, 1907D
Dollar: 1971 :sadsmiley:

Would like to find something pre-1900 this year!

My oldest coin is an 1837 seated liberty half dime. I dug it myself with an AT PRO on my own property in North Mississippi. This territory was pioneered around the same time.

That would be the most cool day of hunting. That would be really hard to beat coin wise. How far down was it and was it a vacant part of your land or around a structure?

It was about 5 inches down near where my gravel road meets my driveway. I live 5 miles down a gravel road! Definitely a find of a lifetime and will cherish that moment. Thanks!

This nickel, found in a MWR.

If I don't find silver it's not because I'm not looking!

Great group of coins. Geographically where are you and were they found on public or private land?

These coins were found while "coin roll hunting" meaning they were bought from banks for face value.

I suppose I should pay more attention. Sorry about that. I do strictly cents but maybe I should look for silver too. Regardless, you have an impressive group of coins there.
