Whats For Dinner?

Re: What's For Dinner?

We both had a hard day, so,
It is grilled pork steaks,
sweet peas,
and instant mashed potatoes.
Still a very good meal to me.

Re: What's For Dinner?

Tonight we are having roastbeef, potatoes, carrots, onions, all in the crock pot. We started it today before our daughters softball game so it is a late supper.

My brother, and I went to the local distributor today and picked up 120 lbs of Alaskan Pollock, hush puppie, frenchfries, and coleslaw for a fish fry were having this weekend. We also have a Mothers day festival going on where we will be cooking soupbeans, and ham in a 30 gallon cast iron pot over an open fire.

"Corn cob jelly"??
Must be a southern dish...

Local store has large can of Noodle-ohs for $1.
Can get 2 meals out of that!

Re: What's For Dinner?

LONG JOHN SILVERS just got home from the CTH 3 an way to tired to cook!

Re: What's For Dinner?

Left over grilled burgers from yesterday.
Warm them up in a pan of fried onions and Worcester sauce.
Some fried taters on the side with lots of salt and pepper.
Yep, I know the salt and grease is bad for me, but I love it.
If I die at 70 years of age, because of what I ate, that's OK.
I have had more enjoyment in my life already than most people that I know
that are 80 years old.
I live each day as if it could be my last.
I don't have any any money, so I sure don't have to worry about all the problems
that come with it.
I just eat whatever I want. Never had to go to a doctor for anything.
I drink 8 cups of coffee and eat 2 eggs and sausage every morning, drink ice water thru the day,
6 beers late afternoon and whatever sounds good for supper.
I feel great at 58 years of age

Re: What's For Dinner?

Since it has been feeling more like fall in the Northeast I had decided to go with a nice bowl of fresh hot tomato soup. This is an easy recipe and you can adjust the portions depending on how many people you are serving.

I'll give you the recipe for one, just multiply it for each additional person

1 cup hot water
3 tbls Heinz Ketchup - or any other preferred brand
stir well

Eat with a spoon - ENJOY

Tonight it will be delivered pizza and chicken wings.
Normally it is steak night, but we didn't feel like cooking after working all day on the lawn and other outside things.

Re: What's For Dinner?

RPG,
That sure sounds good. I could eat that meal anytime

Granny,
I know what you mean there. I lived alone for several years. I always enjoyed cooking and would make a big meal on Sundays. I had lots of leftovers for the rest of the week. I did learn to adjust after awhile.
