Build bridges.....

Me Too. Fourth generation. Great grandad's on both sides were bridge builders, my Dad's father and my Dad.

I was in the family business for 27 years, until Dad died, and his 3 remaining brothers sold out after his death.

Now I manage a concrete plant and precast business, that my family used to own, for the new owners.

I miss the new locations every month or so, no more rain days, or high water days.

On the plus side, no Inspectors, EPA, OSHA, deadlines, weather, land owner disputes, right of way trouble, traffic, gas lines, power lines, fiber optic, mud, snow, ice, etc......so the new job is not all bad. At least I can sleep now, instead of waking up worrying about a job.

Where to start.

I did 14 years as a firefighter/paramedic in various places around Wyoming and South Dakota. I then became a police officer for about a year until I suffered a nasty back injury. I now have huge amounts of titanium in my spine.

Now, I work for Motorola and maintain public safety radio systems all over the state of Wyoming. I basically get paid to play with walkie talkies and big radio sites.

But, I struggle with that. I am a fairly big feller (6'5" and 250lbs) which is not so good for my back or knees.

We'll see how long I last.
