whats does everybody here do for work?

I' m a Journeyman Electrician in the new construction field. 18 yrs ago , seem so long time now. Try to MD when I can,

I work for one of the upcoming largest wholesaler of rec. mining /prospecting equipment. I run the warehouse and make sure that Cynangyl does her job HHEEEEHHEEE! With the price of gold, we are both working our tail feathers off.

I am a Senior Merchandising Manager for a company that travels the country remodeling and re-merchandising retail stores. If you live where there were Osco or Sav-on free standing stores that are now CVS stores chances are I was in you area. Also true for the southern Eckerd RX stores that are now CVS.

p.s. hi to the family

I'm an assistant manager for Wally World. I don't know how much longer, because I identify more with the Sam Walton era, and if you work for me I know you, know your spouse, your kids, your dog, and like to visit with you about all those things. I still believe the customer writes my pay check. I think I'll stay with them just to be a novelty. Before that I was a lawman in Oklahoma for 25 years. Lots of fun, but no money in it. I'm more oriented towards historical research than treasure hunting, probably because I'm fast becoming historical. But see how quick that changes when I find that big gold stash! (haha)

Mental Granny--You're right. Some of us still care and I think the world of all my employees here. It's getting harder to fight for them. However, I have deviated; back to what everbody here does for work!

work ,work I don't need no stinking work (or badges either) ---- (since I'm retired after 27 years of going to sea as a US merchant seaman -- 8 months a year -- working 12 hours or more a day -- 7 days a a week---(number of hours worked equals --- for a land job --- 8 hours a day-- 365 days a year-- for 27 years with out a day off) --- I did two wars carrying ammo and jet fuel (both gulf wars) --- 2 round the world trips -- been to too many places round the world to remember all of them----I'm not just retired --- I'm dog tired)---- Ivan

Soo Ivan, what did you do for an honest living? After all, lounging in a deck chair while having a pleasent ocean voyage isn't true work, not to mention those flesh pots in the Orient that you lived and wallowed in.. Next you will be telling me that you worked in gold placers etc. sheeesh

oh no pleasure cruises for me --work ships (tankers , frieght ships, container ships )--normally a 30 man crew to feed 3 X a day --- I was the head guy who fed the crew --ordered the food and tried to keep the place clean behind the slobs. normal 3 guys-- in my crew--- me (breakfast / salad bar/ baking & desserts / food ordering (while staying within budget) / paper work / taking care of the stores rooms & reefer areas / overseeing the other two guys making sure they did their jobs -- a chief cook (lunch and dinner-- keep main galley clean ) and a mess hand ( dishes general cleaning --officers rooms) and for grunt labor & cleaning --- not as easy as it sounds and the days of stay in port for days are a thing of the past 18 to 24 hours max in port -- in and out --deliver the goods and get going -- it would make the madam at a cat house green with envy to see how quick the turn around is -- and drinking onboard ship is a thing of the past by and large heavy drinking ashore is highly frowned on these days too --- yep --the times have changed out there my bucko --and not for the better --its a real mental & physical pressure cooker out there these days --sad to say they took a "life style" and made it a "job" --- Ivan

And sometimes, it's very entertaining to hear my wife's interpretation of Spanish treasure symbols and maps. The scary thing is, she just might be right. Muchas gracias y adios!
