whats does everybody here do for work?

Public parks worker Parks Maintenance Groundsmen.
I'm the guy that makes your parks looks so pretty and try to keep them clean but people leave their trash in them faster than we can pick it up.
I'm the guy you don't want to see walking to you while your detecting in my park..LOL
Not really we allow detecting in our parks we feel it is a hobby and people do it for fun which is what a park is for.
I also detect them.

Wow! Reading everyone's posts~ I feel so inadequate. :-[

I'm a Project Assistant for the Industrial Group of an Electrical company. It's not as glorious as it sounds. ::)
I have started doing research for a book on the lost towns of East TN. There are lots of them! It will take me YEARS to complete it, but it's fun. :)

When I finally win the Powerball, I can focus full time on the book. ;D

DG,
There is no prerequisite to this hobby other than liking the idea of finding history enough to look for it.
If you have that ... How ever you do it is strictly your choice.
there are no inadequacies, only simple differences of choice.
All jobs are necessary, and important, and there are necessary and important people who do them.
No matter how large or small.

Good hunting, however you do it.
and best of luck with the book
A huge undertaking in anyones sight.
Good to see you haven't lost the ambition to succeed
That will take you far.

This is off topic, but, thanks, life is short and I knew that, but I didn't see this coming and....

I hate it.
I never imagined being a widow and I can't imagine a life alone.
I must admit that I do not like this at all.
I wasn't always happy being married but I am not happy at all single.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. When my Dad died in 1994, my Mom was in shock for a long time. You cannot go from being married for years, to suddenly losing your husband, without pain. My Mom had some good friends to help her along. God Bless you during this difficult time. Bryan

I work as a Materials and Process/Development Engineer for an Aerospace company in Central West Virginia. I have made various metal composite, new age ceramics, nano enhanced metals for military, DOD, comercial aviation and NASA. I really enjoy the Research and Development part of my job which is doing things that havent been done befor. If I spend months of my time working on some thing to get result and they all come back bad, its OK! There is not such thing as bad DATA in my field!! I also enjoy testing some of the items to failure. Where else do you get the chance to make something and then destroy it just to see what it takes to do it???

I work as an Administrative Assistant :( , go to school at ITT Tech towards a degree in Video Game Design 8) , and work on my own projects and treasure hunt in my spare time... what there is of it. As soon as I hit some kind of mother lode ( ;D LOL ;D ) the job is gone! ;) Hey, I need that time for school and treasure hunting! :)

I finally took a giant step and signed up here. I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now. I figured this was as good a thread as any to start with while I figure this place out.

I am a Massage Therapist in Montana. I have owned my own massage office for years and this last year I switched over to working at a spa at a resort here in Montana. It was a good move for me as I love to pamper people!

I am looking forward to being a part of this forum. I will share more about myself in the MUGS section in a few days.

I can't wait for our snow to melt, we still have about 5-6 feet on the ground up here....ok I will hush for now!!

I am the facilities coordinator for a Hospice in Titusville Fl.
A great bunch of people to work with. Not a bad apple in the bunch.
And I can say without a doubt, I like my job. But I would rather be detecting. ;D

And welcome aboard magic fingers!!
