My first was a Treasure Sensor 4000. It was probably a Radio Shack job. Then I got a Bounty Hunter Pioneer, but now I hunt with the Ace 250.

Mine was a Radio Shack unit my mother gave me for my birthday. I had it for years and it paid for itself in recovering lost arrows. I took it along on a vacation to Beaver island one year. I had some fun with it. Went back to the island and brought a new Garrets with me. Had alot of fun with that one.. But could tell if I was going to get into this hobby, I was going to need more machine yet. Well Keelyco said they would give me full credit towards a better machine. Now I have the Sovereign and I'm finally happy. Now if I can just get a good target under it.

A fricking piece of $#!7 bounty hunty. Worse detector ever made. If I had not sold that thing for $20 I would have smashed it against a tree and then driven over it a few times with a truck and then set the pieces on fire. Whew. That felt good to say that.

A Heathkit (the copper colored one).

I found quite a few firsts with it, including my first diamond ring. I used it for 2 years(peddling around with it on my bike). Got my car in '75, and used it that summer at some old parks(first barbers and indians). Couldn't use it on the local beaches, so in Feb. of '76 I visited a local dealer and after seeing all the finds he was making, I bought a 2D..........And the rest ....as they say.....is history.

Mine was a Relco Frontiersman bought as a used unit direct from the Relco factory half a mile from my house in Houston.
It served me well from the early 70's till I got a better detector in the early 1980's, when I got a "good" brand named unit.

My 1st was a Jetco then I moved up to Sears Best--their version of the 6000D series 1 and the Fisher 550D. The 1st two are still in the family.

My 1st dectector was a $30.00 Mustang. What a peice of crap. I,m glad it didn,t discorage me into giving up. I went from that to a few more cheapos. I finaly got the clue buy the very best you can find if you want to do well. Mike.

A Garrett Deep Seeker TR/VLF. Still got it. Bought it used and it still works great.

Mine was a White's "something" given to me in 1973. Kept it for about five years and it disappeared in a move from Florida to Texas......

A Garrett Deep Seeker TR/VLF I bought new back in the 70's. I still use it sometimes. It cost around $650.00 + tax.
