What kinda mine tool is this ? What was it used for?

It would be just a guess, is it a tool to check for loose stone and rock over head after a new section of mine was dynamited? Wouldn't want loose stone and rock hitting you in the head.

Tomorrow is today right? That post was yesterday. :evil5:

look man the only reason im even on this site is my truck is brokedown, i mine for a living, I am not concerned with what day it is, or what time it is.
I dont take a phone with when go out in the bush, i dont have AAA, or a bank account that has more than 000 in it, I have only been to town aprox 20 times in 5 years.
last years take was about 2 oz. out of the rock, my wife is a waitress in 29 palms she grubstakes my opps.
no im am not on the dole, disabilaty or do i have a retirement except my ore pile.

I cant afford 35 bucks for betanomite unless i find the gold to pay for it so i cant crack rock, My truck is on its last leg and when it breaks down i have to walk to the mine.
i havnt sold a bush trip from my site yet so thats just a drain on my funds, my wifes tips.
The chinese blanket claimed the whole Dale district i only have the little bits and pieces of the fringes i can prospect.
I only had money for cheap boots this season and i walk 4 to 8 mile runs on the average day of prospecting.
Nobody said i had to be a miner, my choice.

So What day it is doesnt matter to me.

Until the tax man wants me to pay this year then i got go out to find the gold, Small miners life.
Oh ya i forgot Im 50 years old with the heart of an 80 Year old. im not sure tommorow will even come.

Follow your dreams.

One last guess from me - a gate key designed by Cal. "environmental Scientists" to remediate abandoned mines. Hey Herb, PM me.

I've enjoyed the thread, thanks for posting it :icon_thumright:
Hope you strike it rich if that is your desire. Not knowing what day it is or even caring is a treasure in itself. :occasion14:

GG~

It is one of those fancy tools that were used by fancy miners to hang up their fancy mining shirts

Gold tramp, you said, The chinese blanket claimed the whole Dale district. Are you saying the the Chinese are claiming all the good land out in the desert. Is this one foreign entity or several Chinese companies. Since it appears you have been prospecting for some time, perhaps you might be able to sell your services and knowledge of the area to these entities... And secondly the fringe areas that you prospect, are there no placers in this area that you can mine. I remember seeing some placer gold on your website.. Good health and good hunting...

You can check on the gov web site for claims, Dale mining disrict and see if they still are active. I saw the paper work they had 2012 paid like $7000 paid.
I live in rural Calif my computer is very slow, so i dont use site. let me know what you find out.
I realy on ground markers only. These guys have paint all over the place on the rocks no posts.

Those guys are the reason i have no gold right now, i have no good ground to work i wouldnt piss on them if they were on fire,
Its hard enough to make a living at mining, the last 2 seasons have been tough because of them. so no to working for the chinese.

Theres loads of placer for the hardy soul that likes that type of mining and i could do well at it.
And when i need to i go get a little.
But i am a hard rock prospector, pocket hunter.

I just like to find em. dig em and move on. I do hope to hit a decent one some day, But it doesnt make a differance im still gonna look its my right as an American.
Stay healthy and good luck

Oh, those kind of explosive mines I get it good one Cpt. I never saw it coming. Guess we all made the mistake of taking a step in the wrong direction. Thanks for reminding us to stay on the trail of clues. That was fun.

Ivan, While you were typing the answer, the answer showed up. I am guessing that mine-mine was a clue but WHOOSH! Right over my head! TTC
