Hey Archie, my plan is to find a huge treasure wreck or at least a really old one and make the Archy's in Nassau do it properly from the start, then I'll give em the location.

What a pleasure it would be to make 'em " have at it"

This thread keeps going astray
From the basic bell story
Many things get in the way
There's only one thing left to say
Yall need a Burma Shave!

I was so poor as a kid --my folks couldn't afford to get me a Frisbee.. so a sun dried road killed squashed flat cat had to do -- the tail made a handy handle till it broke off ....

and when they got the dog fixed --I got two new golf balls to putt around with the old golf club I found in the neighbor's trash can...on trash day the week before

and sads ..look for lead sheathing ...( that's the real old Spanish treasure wreck worm proof hull plating ) that copper stuff is the more modern stuff late 1700 /1800 wood hulls ...

Sads...

Are you actually gonna go to the map room ?
Or just saying that now... and later say something came up. .>?

If I can do anything for you in the map room I would be delighted to, send me your list of stuff ( areas) you want checked to. Kjamespi@ aol.com....

Bob Marx recommended I go there and anything he recommends I'll try....

What about in the maritime records ?
This is where you need to spend the most time... (in my opinion) and would be ALSO the thing im there for as well as maps...
I have heard they have changed it quite a bit...

And I can give you a "search" list of some items...
I would bow down and owe you a big favor... (not on my knees :P)

No sweat. We are gonna hit the map room but is the records in the same place in which case I'll add that stuff to the list too.

What you need to dois this...
ALL libraries are run by the "same" types... the Librarians in other words...
You must "befriend" a nice WOMAN.... sometimes men will go the distance but from my experience it is less common...
USe your Burma Shave Charm :P...

Let's go dead ship on this Archie, goodbye on this map room subject, email above......ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431182904.968250.jpg

Women love my piercing blue eyes so I'll be ok there, they are not so keen when I open my mouth though...

Ps I don't have an Elf....

Approach and politely ask...something like this...
Hello... Can I ask you something (see you wanna make them WANT to show you and go the distance by them "knowing" and wanting to "show")
I am a diver from the BVI....
And I have found some things there... and I am interested in the "ships" and "activities of therof in the islands...
Can you tell me if there is a "higher end" archive here that I could just peak at for a bit...

IF you are lucky... IF.... she may take you to the "private" stash... and let you into a private viewing room/area WITH such... instead... of just walking you down some book isle and pointing to a row of random everyday crapola...
Tell her you want the stuff that HAS NOT BEEN DIGITIZED yet... IF ? It may have all been entered already.....

Email me a list,..........and anymore advice ha ha....

IF it has,.... no biggie...
Ask her if she knows of any RARE maritime records...
OR good records about the subjects (which I will post ya)
On and on...
I will continue to post here... we can delete this all later...
Easier and less confusing than mail...

SADS I heard all the good stuff is in the London Public Records Office.

I don't want any info on here, PM me if you don't wanna do email...

Thanks Pete, I'll put that on the "must do" list...... Send me anything you need too.....

IF.... IF....

lol
ASK... IF you find relevant things etc,,,,
ASK if you are able to make a copy...
They usually will... unless the condition of item is considered "guarded".
