The teller guide was funny, but people actually believed it.

That was the sad part. And I didn't appreciate the language in it so I stopped reading it. Not
appropriate for a public forum, especially when he posted it on a post when newbies asked for advice.

I ain't posted here for ahwhile... too much bulldust. Quotes like 'photos or it didn't happen' directed towards my posts... newbies calling my integrity into question... questioning my intellengence... I got tired of it. For the info of all, I've been a member since March of '06... back in the kinda/sorta good ole days. These days things have sorta dried up, but I still find AU. A big 'Hats Off' to the mods.

I like your signature there Captian, ("I respect your opinion, but not when I know better.") LOL, That is good stuff! HH, Maverick.

I am newish to CRHing but not to forums or the internet. The aforementioned hi-jinx is prevalent on every forum I have ever read. It is seldom dealt with, and I am glad that it was, but lets not blow it out of proportion. Everyone should at least get a second chance. Every internet user and forum reader must expect this stuff in some form or another. This is why online gamers coined abbreviation "rl" for real life as opposed online interaction. It is the nature of the beast so lets take it with a grain of salt. Enough of us can recognize photo shop and the how to deal with tellers thing was indeed very funny if you are familiar internet humor. :tongue3:

Teller Guide will disappear as well, if it is sent in pm fine, it will not be posted any more.

We only care about what happens on TN, not the internet, many things allowed on other forums no matter the forum topic are not allowed here.

TH, I couldn't agree more. I think of TreasureNet as my "online metal detecting club" to supplement my local club who only meets once per month.

I come to Tnet to discuss "in real life" activities with real life personalities, just as I would at my local club. If I wanted to go on the Internet to act silly and play make believe, there are more than enough forums out there intended expressly for that type of behavior.

CaptainRobin, it's been a L-O-N-G time. Talk about an oldtimer, veteran.

Maverick, the quote ("I respect your opinion, but not when I know better.") is from the book 'The Old Man and The Boy' written by Robert Roark back in the '50s, I think. It's mainly about hunting and fishing with The Boy's grandfather growing up in the '20s. "Shotgun shells cost a nickle apiece"...

It was his insult to your intelligence that was the final straw, I usually try to give members multiple warnings, but it gets old when members don't listen to the warnings....

Kind of like metal detecting, sometimes a lot of "work" for little payoff. Then again, as with any hobby...does there always have to be a "payoff"?

The pay off has to be in the looking as well as the finding otherwise its plain greed which is unhealthy at best

CaptainRobin used to post here in the CRHing forum back in the good old days. I'm only saying he's a veteran CRHer and a oldtimer from the good old times when the finds were better.

Just read the "Teller Guide" (http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/coin-roll-hunting/310773-em-s-guide-how-deal-tellers.html) and found it to be a hoot...

Being funny doesn't mean I support its intent...

The comment 'Bull Dust' is applicable...
