We will not tolerate members trying to run a scam on any TreasureNet forum by knowingly posting false pictures and stories or knowingly supporting with their posts the false pictures or stories in a thread to try intimidate or scare new members away from any of TreasureNet forums or to try to spread known lies about a hobby by using our forums, any member or members that will not agree to honor the integrity of our forums is more than welcome to seek forums elsewhere to post on, either by you own accord, or with our help.........

Lets just say, some things are going to be different here. After the recent issue we are no longer going to tolerate certain things here because of trying to bend over back wards to be impartial and fair.....

Our forums will be respected, it will be a place people want to come to to share finds and ideas. The make believe persona's that were being portrayed here are going away..... All members are welcome here including those currently on timeouts, but this forum will no longer be ghetto......

It was his insult to your intelligence that was the final straw, I usually try to give members multiple warnings, but it gets old when members don't listen to the warnings....

I seriously have no clue here. How can you scare new hunters away from silver hunting? Hunting as in detecting (as in ok, this is my spot) or as in looking at banks for silver coin? (This makes more sense.) I tried that a few times but am not going to make a hobby out of it, too much work for too little payoff.

I just like digging in the dirt. Show and tell is good too. Also I am not investing or participating in a go to Alaska and die in the Bering sea proposition or open a gold mine on Mars or any such thing. Personally, I like it when other people show up where I dig (which is just a few PUBLIC places). It seems to mean I'm digging in the right spot.

For CRH, you can. Some members posted that all boxes are now being checked for silver, and taht there are "Pre-checked for silver" stamps on the boxes, which turned out to be photoshop.

Kind of like metal detecting, sometimes a lot of "work" for little payoff. Then again, as with any hobby...does there always have to be a "payoff"?

Yeah, I read that one part. It did like a couple people were trying to get others to not participate in looking for the silver.

I rarely post but read the forums quite often. I applaud the mod's for this action. It was getting really annoying even visiting this site with the actions that were taking place. Great job Mods!

Long story short some members decided to make a bogus thread with a photo shopped picture to try scare new hunters away from silver hunting and our forum and got caught. Some jumped on the bandwagon and posted to the thread encouraging it knowing it was bogus, by doing so it encouraged members to break our rules. As mods we take it serious when a member or members try to run a scam on our forums, as moderators we feel it attacks the integrity of TreasureNet and we will not stand for that.. I did not ban the members for life....yet, but some are on a long timeout.....

Well, if they knowingly and willingly "stole" from another's find and attempted to claim it as their own,,,,Well, that sounds like a thief to me and they should be banned for life and then any BOGUS id's should be searched for and closed....Just another example of a lack of morals in the World today!!!!!!

Nothing like that, they posted bogus picture and stories to try to give the illusion banks were pulling all silver coins our of boxes of coins before making them available to the public to try to scare aware new members here...

Goldencoin, you are probably the only member who still contributes on this forum that was here when i started in 2006. .

I remember when you started. Shortly after I did. Yes, those were the good old days. Not only before Rich died, but even before Silver Fox died. remember him? The first to levae this forum in that terrible way, and another good poster.

Jrf, i'm glad that you're still here posting. I do remember Silver Fox and our sudden loss on this forum, that was a sad day.
