TWO SIGNS LEFT TO I.D. MINE, AS SPANISH, FRENCH, OR JESUIT.

Today, I am going thru my tools and equipment that I will need for my "Grand Finale" expedition to the top of the mountain.

Not leaving right away. None the less, prep work must be double and triple checked.

Everything from pick and shovel to batteries and jerky .

I have several odd pieces of paper to combine into my journal, which holds all of the specifics of the agenda.

I'm trying to work thru my some very painful issues that may very likely last thru the expedition and beyond.

I am trying to see how much I can endure without numbing my mind with pain meds.

This sucks, but I need to know what I can accomplish while keeping my mind as clear as possible.

Twenty hours so far.

Break time is over.
Back to the salt mine.

HOWDY MIKEL,

May Bear Spirit be with you, my friend....you got this. :icon_thumright:

Be careful of the air MIKEL. The gazes will kill you faster than anything else. I find the backwoods my home. I have a place in Atlanta but this is home. One week a month in the city is all I can handle. I hope you have a tester for the air. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS MIKEL. AND THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP. BWB.

Bob.
I Don't expect to get in.
It is under several tons of large stones, perched to collapse long before opening.
My new partner is well versed in what must be done in less than one day and will make a three hour round trip to help me.
Clearly a blessing for me.

Thanks for the warning though.

There is air flow exiting the opening, just to expensive to open.

Happy hunting, Amigo
MIKEL

One landowner has offered me and one other to have one day to finish finding the proof for the book. That is one day only!

Thereafter no access to their land.
With my new team mate, I hope to find proof in a few hours.

There are still things that are beyond our control.

I am working on the agenda for the one day conquest.
Compiling notes into a list to be checked off... Need to get in take tools for each task and move to the next.checklist done

Then I will let you folks know who made the cut and why.
Unless we fail, then he has right ti remain hidden.

Clock's ticking...

Why does the land owner only giving you one day. Why not a weekend. That not very good with all the work you put in. One would think they would want to know what they have. I would love for someone to come to me with your offer. I could just use the help with what I got. Some people! !!! Good luck with it.

Amigo,
I believe that her son, and heir to the thrown, has blown on the small spark that was all but gone. He has fanned the flame with his closed mind, only thinking of his hunting ground.

She has changed from the lady that once said " Oh yes, come anytime to finish.." To saying.
"Oh I don't know."

And when in his presence saying. "I don't want."

Now I have one day to pick from three in February, in part my own fault.

I had told her that we were trying to finish early in February, and that I thought that I f conditions were right, we could finish on one of those three Saturdays.

She jumped in and said. "Okay, one day and we are done. No more people up there."

The terms have changed drastically since the beginning.

Perhaps for the best; perhaps for the worst.

I believe that there may be a marker that leads to a large vault that nobody will ever find, unless they already have a map in hand.

The book, and it's story shall be, as it was in the beginning, my treasure. All that I need is to find the proof that shows it's existence. Perhaps a single photograph is all that I will need.

Perhaps my inquisitive spirit will thirst no more.

It is, as it has always has been, in God's hands.

(Credit due to." ORO BLANCO" for the phrase that I borrowed.
" inquisitive spirit".
I have struggled for the name of this malady from which I have enjoyed suffering for so long now.
Thank you, Amigo ORO, for using it this morning. It fits so many of us to a single cause and personality."

The book was never about the mine. It is about the journey.
It is a fitting end.

HOWDY MIKEL,

GLAD THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO MAKE THAT LAST TRIP OUT THERE, AND BACK. I HAVE SEEN HOW THE LANDSCAPE CHANGES IN SO LITTLE TIME. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE THE PICTURES, AND LOOKING FORWARD TO READING YOUR BOOK.

SU AMIGO,
HOMAR P. OLIVAREZ

I want to make one thing very clear. If Weekender had not been with me for this final expedition, it would have gone badly for me.
His trail blazing and tracking skills kept us on track when almost everything that was once as familiar to me as my own front yard, became almost unrecognizable

Next, is a place where many stones once stood firmly, but now are gone.

May have been a few years ago.
All of these rocks were about eighty feet higher than they are now.

Good eye to find it in all of the rubble.
