I'll quit wearing a mask in public when doctors quit wearing them.
Do you really believe doctors have been brainwashed into thinking masks are effective?

I'm with you in theory and practice 100%. It is a minor inconvenience to wear a mask. As to statements that masks don't provide protection against coronaviruses in general and covid-19 in particular, they are meant to reduce the spread of respiratory droplets that may contain the viruses.

It's not a minor inconvenience if you suffer from allergies. After ten minutes in a store, I start to get light headed from a lack of oxygen. I also wear glasses, which fog up every time I'm in the store.

You do what you want, but don't even think about walking up to me and telling me to wear a mask. I do wear one in stores, but no way am I wearing one while walking down the street. Bottom line, MYOB.

First Time I Used mine at Walmart for about an Hour,
Because of the part that goes at your Forehead.


it Traps all your Exhales & Is like Being in a Garage with a running Vehicle.

By the time I was in line to Check out it was the Same as if I had worn a Mask.
Roasting, Sweating,Mental Confusion, Hyperventilating ! I took it off in the shoe Department while I was There.
and I ripped it off my Face as I Left the Check out Line again , Before I even Exited the Store.

I don't wear a mask while walking down the street either and didn't say that you should, but I live in a rural area with no sidewalks and rarely see anyone on my walks. As for telling me to MYOB, that says a lot about your attitude. My mask protects you - and your mask should protect me. I also wear glasses as does a high percentage of the population.

Nothing about my post suggested that I walk up to people and order them to put on a mask - but hey, nice dishonest diversion.

I walk 1 Block & Have to stop, Catch My Breath for a Bit, before I walk the Next.
and that's without my Breathing Being Impeded

I occasionally See people with their Faces Wrapped walking down the Sidewalk.
I Figure if They Don't like That I Don't have one on, They can Cross the street & Choose Social Distance.
If they walk up to me and get in my Face.
That would just Show their Hypocrisy !

Lots of folks wont wear sunscreen either but if they get skin cancer they wish they had.
Lots of folks smoke cigarettes too and could care less about the dangers.
Having unprotected sex...... The list could go on and on.

The point is, it's their right to be foolish and I'm all for those rights !

I saw a guy last week staggering around a parking lot with his mask on. Not kidding - he had the mask over his eyes. I tend to help people who are struggling, but that was just too weird. And no, it was not Walmart.

Do you know anyone who has been struck? This moment in time, is just the beginning of the spread. A tiny percentage of people have been infected. What the much maligned experts are trying to tell some knuckleheads, is avoid others, and wear a mask when you can't. Keeping a lid on it, keeping it manageable, is the mission, to give us time to find a vaccine or treatment. There is still hope for that, and we should kill as few as possible while we're waiting. If you don't see the disease yet, it's coming to your neighborhood soon.

I’ve been following this since February, when people in China were “dropping dead in the streets”...riiiight. I also followed the Ebola scare which seemed to peter out rather quickly here and soon forgotten. Without going too political, I can’t give my reasons why.

As for telling me to MYOB, that says a lot about your attitude. My mask protects you - and your mask should protect me.

Three months ago, they were ordering us NOT to wear masks. They said it didn't make any difference. Now they're telling us to wear masks, because they lied! They lied so all the doctors and nurses would have masks! So either they're lying now (masks don't work) or they let thousands of people die from the virus so all the doctors and nurses would have masks! That's why I have an attitude about wearing masks! If it's so important now, why did you let all of us walk around without them for months?
