thanks ss,pala,it all helps. i have been learning from the short time that i have been doing field work.that i take what info. is showing its self over and over in a area,and that is what i go by.i have found that some things you read whether on line or in books that they flip flop on things,like at a death trap,theres nothing there,but if you paid attention to what they wrote else where,you will see where they are messing with it,to disarm it, or trying to figure out how to disarm it.so it dosent make sence to me,if theres nothing there why are you messing with it,do you just like playing chicken?lol,.think about it.if you have a safe and a alarm system,are you gonna keep your booty there or under the mattress.just saying dont always belive what is wrote as true facts.i could be like the spainish miners,it ducked out on you,changed directions,went in reverse.lol.pay attention,do your research.you will start seeing things in print that dont add up,and you will see things that are not in print,that do add up.lol.

Wellllll, ACTually............the Black Douglass's (as well as the Red Douglass's) were lowlanders. The Highlanders usually put an "O" or "Mc" as a prefix to their last names. LOL

Anyway, I usually take the low roads, too, because my get-up-and-go went away a looooong time back. LOL

hey everyone,id like to show you what i found metal detecing today,first time out with it out west here.i went right above the feeding horse,where it was fairly flat,but small area,iam working on the photo resize now,

this was the stone foremation,above the flat,that i detected.where's rangler been?i need some help here?please,anyone?

then i saw this shadow sign,that told me,that i was close,it was only a matter of time,till i made a hit.

well this is it,this is what i found in the same hole,two small square cut nails?any ideals?

i passed this rock formation,on the way up to the horse's hoof.any signs? at the horse hoof was a huge flat stone area,12x12 where you could stand and see for miles,north, flanked east and west.it be a nice place for a look out,lots of room for a low tent,it looks like it was made real nice.

look out , is a big area,east climb to horse's muzzel area.

I'd almost bet that those square cut nails are horseshoe nails. Keep looking.
