Treasure Expo 2007

Re: T-SHIRTS

Peg Leg,

Great work on both the latest T-Shirt designs! I like both of them!
If I had to choose between the two designs I like the first design
the most because I think it shows more detail and the fade in of
the pirate is excellent!

When the T-Shirts are available you may want to place a post here
on the forum under the topic "Shopping" so people can buy them in
advance of the Treasure Hunters Expo. Also, for those who may not
be able to attend the Treasure Hunters Expo this would give them
an opportunity to purchase the T-Shirts.

Re: GUEST SPEAKER

Robert,

Someone, somewhere, told me you would be interested in doing a seminar. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

To all,

Robert Westrick will be our featured guest speaker. We would also like to get a few seminars lined up. These can be about whatever moves you... a slide show, open discussion, demonstrations... 30 minutes, an hour, whatever. I'm doing a presentation on "Treasure Hunting Technologies". I will cover metal detectors, mags, side scan, resistivity, infrared, and maybe GPR.

Re: GUEST SPEAKER

Carl,

I would love to give a seminar but the fact is there are plenty of other members here who are better qualified. I have alot of knowledge but I am more of a "Jack of all Trades, Master of none!"

I could be a host or MC if needed to introduce all you famous people!

Re: GUEST SPEAKER

Hey Robert,
maybe you could do Karaoke?

TIM WILLIAMS and others.
Met with the Holiay Inn people this morning except for the main person. It seems that early this monring at work she slipped and broke her ankle.
It will be next week sometime before I have a SPECIAL 800 number for thos wanting Preregsiter for the EXPO.

Re: GUEST SPEAKER

Hey Robert,
maybe you could do Karaoke?

If there is an open bar, that could very well happen!

I do a lovely rendition of "Wind Beneath my Wings!" ;D ;D ;D

Just kidding! Nothing like a good Country song after a few beers!

How about this.

Every person in Military Uniform gets into the EXPO for FREE.
PEG LEG

I have posted a registration form on the Expo web page. Go to

http://TreasureExpo.thunting.com

And click on Register. The Form page must be printed out and mailed in; it does not get submitted electronically.

What we need right now are people to sign up for table space for displays. If you have some nice finds to show off then please sign up!

We also need to line up a few seminars. These are "no big deal" events... you don't have to be a professional speaker. Just share something. Slide show. Demonstration. Even an open discussion on a particular topic. 15min, 30min, 1hr, whatever.

Let's step up, folks, and make this thing happen!

Re: Trouble in Paradise?????????????

I've been at sea for a month and lost track of things going on, and I am reading and reading but can not find where you are planning this Expo. I may be able to help if it is in my neck of the woods, and the most appropiate place, Key West.

Re: Trouble in Paradise?????????????

The EXPO will be held at Cocoa Beach.
Peg Leg

I removed it until I have a chance to discuss this with the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organisation.
Why are you concerned? You do not plan on donating anything anyway.
Peg Leg

Looks like my post from earlier didn't make it. Where is the expo expected to take place? I can help if it is in my area.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTERING:

GOT TO GET SERIOUS:
I am looking for those that are interested SERIOUSLY (NO BLOWING SMOKE-PLEASE).
There has been way to much of this already.
Now what I need is for those that are wanting to do a DISPLAY to step forward AND register.

I will admit that I have said way to much GOOD and BAD concerning the EXPO but this is the first time I have ever tried to do something like this so I asked for some input and I received some input both good and some not so good.

Playtime has ended.
Fun and Games start on the 18th of Aug.

I have decided to put a DEADLINE on registering for this EXPO.

THE DEADLINE IS JUNE 30.
OR
IF THERE ARE A TOTAL NUMBER OF SPACES TAKEN BEFORE THIS TIME THEN REGISTRATION IS CLOSED REGARDLESS OF THE DEADLINE DATE.

THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SPACES AVAILABLE IS 31-THIS DOES NOT COUNT THE NUMBER OF COMMERCIAL SPACES BEING RESERVED.

I still expect no less than 4,000 people to visit this EXPO over the weekend of the 18th.

I will post a list of Commercail Vendors later this week

Re: DEADLINE FOR REGISTERING:

Attention everyone,
Due to the lack of response there will be NO T-Shirts offered at the EXPO.
DiverLynn was the only person who responded and her check will be returned.
She is the only person to register for a space by provding the funds for this.
Thanks Lynn.

So far I have received reserved space for the following COMMERCIAL VENDORS.
KELLYCO,
OCEAN-SERVER
WHITES DETECTORS
ARC-GEO LOGGERS
MORE TO COME.

There will be
SIDE SCAN SONARS
MAG'S
GPR'S
METAL DETECTORS.
ETC.

There is also space being reserved for any used devices you wish to sell as long as the devices are designed for tresure hunting and recovery. This space is not part of the 31 spaces used for displaying artifacts and does not include Commercial Vendor space.

SECURITY has now been arranged.

ADVERTISING;
RADIO AND TELEVISION ADS are being worked on right now.
Writers from several Treasure Magazines will be on hand-working out final details.

SORRY about the T-Shirts but if there is someone out there that wants to do this let me know. I will provide the LOGO. DO NOT SEND ME THEIR ADDRESS-THEY WILL HAVE TO CONTACT ME.

THIS EXPO WILL HAPPEN.

THANKS
Don Webb
