Too Hot to Dig...

Found a pic to post....have not found the notes that go with it or had time to go to the site. If memory is correct the direction was North, and distance was less than 50 varas. Will update this post if found to be incorrect.

Oddrock

yeah, I know the whole paradoleia (however you spell it)

but everytime I look at it, it reminds me of the caterpiller from alice in wonderland. I just had to say it.

TC

No offense taken, .... my first thought was "surely you jest" and then "what if the jest is sure". I believe in checking out every angle (pun intended) on every site.

What could a hookah smoking caterpillar (while sitting on a mushroom) living in a a rabbit hole have to do with buried $ ? [caterpiller/butterfly, mushroom, rabbit and the rabbit hole have been represented as associated with the quest for treasure on this web-site or other places in the past]

John Tenniel 1820-1914 made 92 drawings for Lewis Carroll's, "Alice in Wonderland". (London:Macmillan 1865)
also did "Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There". (London: Macmillan 1871)
John Tenniel was Knighted by Queen Victoria in 1893.

While some things that I have shown on this thread are a lot older than this time period, some are from this time period....or maybe to be shown in the future. :laughing9:

Sir Paul McCartney was knighted by the Queen in 1998. Doesn't mean the Beatles were burying treasure in the Strawberry Fields.

Sir Springfield,

Does not mean they were not either.... Imagine ;D finding a box of their records in grandma's attic could be worth some pocket change.
P.S....please notice that I did not say John Tenneil buried any treasure, any where....so it appears your post is a mute point. I just pointed out some facts that I found interesting. I was not even aware of who JT was until after TC's post and doing a little research.

I take most signs, symbols, altered rocks, altered trees, etc. as little more than equal to today's road signs or billboards.....showing which way to go on a trail and what you may find there. Of course most of it is not treasure related. .. . Oddrock

Point well taken, rocky. I was just pulling your chain a little. Actually, some folks speculate that AIW, like WOO, was a coded document.

I think it looks like this guy is holding something with his arm against his body. Maybe a duck's head or something---

Gee Sir Springfield,

I can take you pulling my chain a little bit.

maybe..so...so what are your thoughts... I do value your opinions. (after studying the pic you marked, the duck or goose may be under the arm as you suggest, the arm is the general shape of an "L" and could represent angle/distance)

now springer,
if you spent some learning about the nature of treasure signs, instead of denying everything as nothing more than bored sheephearders or cowboys you might have learned by yourself that the Jesuits
EXACTLY did that very thing, not about hedging, which you do wonderfully, it is about hiding code in layers of disinformation like you love to do..so really your a lot like the jesuits...but they were real and real clever, it takes NO talent to be a critic, and self imposed critic takes no experience ~!!

so trackers - newbees and pros alike take steves comments with a grain of salt as there is not a grain of truth to what he says, but only the newbees need that warning, the pros here got you number, they are just more polite than I am~!!
oro decorum sir

Golly rangler, after a month in solitare, I thought maybe you'd cook up a nifty demonstration that prove that your theories hold water. Your admirers don't care, but those who expect you to back up your claims are still waiting. Welcome back, nonetheless. I realize that it will be a gradual process, but eventually you and I will on the same page.

The ones who are savvy and sent in pics to be marked and decoded are understanding perfectly
that the code is broken, as a denier, a ton of golden goodies lowered on your chest and you will
still not believe...so whats the point in fencing, unless of course you just love fencing..

So have a good time pushing around the newbees, and trying to disuade everyone there monuments are just hippy rocks and bored sheephearders...[oh better get a new one, those are long worn out..
but it is fun fencing with you steverino, abliet a little tiring when you use the same old tired moves

Fortunately you deleted most of your last post, R - it was a little bizarre even for you. Like I said, you can bluster and posture for your followers, but if you're serious about all this, we'll eventually meet on common ground. Good hunting.

Marker Trees..... :)

Does "x" mark the spot? Usually not, but it may lead you to it.

General consenses on a snake carved on a tree/rock, is to measure the length from tail to head (eye, if present) and procede in the direction the head is pointing.
If you find a snake incorporated into an "x", I would suggest multiplying your distance by ten. (you may also need to divide the total by two...as the snake is )

Modification in order for clarification....if the snake is going up the tree, precede in the direction on the other side of the tree....if the snake is going down the tree...look on that side of the tree... Hope this helps someone.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good knight...
