Todays spelling

Heck yeah I wanna go. You fly fishin? #9 I meant nothing harsh to you do please don't take it that way. I'm a country boy certainly not some city boy who likes to pick on others as they do sometimes. I'm just concerned about some things mainly because I'm a dad and I watch how my teens have been poorly educated by our schools and social media and it has been a real struggle to keep my kids on the straight and narrow with all the bad influence, I hope you and others can agree.

I do understand and I agree that our school system has a long way to go!
Don't take me too serious.. heck, I'll even mess with the Mods!:laughing7:

Love to trout fish.. both fly fish as well as spincasting!
I'm very lucky to live in an area that has many stream and rivers.

This is a favorite river and the video was made by my friend who is a pro photographer.

Best to ya!

Great video. Fly fishing a stream like that is an awesome experience. Takes away all the crap you have in your life, well at least for a few hours. Metal detecting does the same thing, I get to zone out, rid myself of all the noise and problems of the world. I'm hoping this weekend is going to be a great one because my buddy and I just landed 4 sites that date into the 1600's and it's all private land. I will be turning the Nokta Fors gold onto beast mode and have at it.

I don't believe teachers taught me anything .
they may have given me hints on things.
But I believe I taught myself.

Well jeff, sounds like you didn't have information handed to you...........but, your instructors did teach you the most important lesson..........to think for yourself.........:icon_scratch:

as far back as I can remember I always thought for myself
I always felt I was reincarnated to question everything

OK -I apologize for my rudeness but I'm going to blame it on this.
I started Cll treatment and Kathy went to the Dr just before my 2 nd infusion and asked her what they had giving me on the first treatment and she asked her why. She said I acted drunk and hasn't seen me like that in many years. Dr said I got 80 mg prednisone which probably was the cause. :laughing7:

Side effects : aggression, agitation,anxiety,dizziness,irritability,mental depression,mood changes,nervousness,trouble thinking and a few more.
Not only that but temperatures up to 101.2 a few times in between the tylenol .
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

At this stage of my life (60+), my main gripe about the education system is that they never taught me to read blurry..............now where are those eye cheaters?!?!!?

Before you read, start drinking. And drink heavily.

When you start to get blurry-eyed it will cancel out the naturally un-focused part of your cornea, kind of like noise canceling headphones, and you will see perfectly clear again.

Half of what is taught in the school system ...

At least when I was in school... is worthless in the real world...

And while teaching it... they have eaten a ton of time...
and this time could hav been used to teach BETTER everyday skills...
OR 100 OTHER things that SHOULD BE taught.

It bored many to the point of hating school...

And it went in one ear and out the other because it was dreadfully stupid...

Funny because looking back I can remember we were smart enough AS KIDS to realize it then...

Take algebra for example...

Complete waste of time...

Should be a specialized college course directly related to the field(S) that require this knowledge.

Ask anyone if they have used it in the day to day life... THOSE who do not require this... which would account for 2 percent of humans.

Wait, now there are letters in the math?:laughing7: Oh come on!!:BangHead:

I remember grandpa Albert (Einstein) writing math problems for me to figure out when I was 4-5 years old. He used letters in the math a lot. He wasn't to smart so I corrected him a lot. Later he got better at it.

hooked on phonics ..might have sumpin to do wit dat...

I slept through algebra.

Could not help it.

I learned more while sleeping. :P

He's a funny, funny guy.

I find math very important in life just doing many everyday things, and it is a universal language, it meaning and conclusions are understood by even aliens, if they exist. It is hard to be good at it, it is a shame that few really understand it. If you can understand it you can see its beauty and worth. Civics class is another undervalued and not taught in school anymore. There are reasons why the education system got so bad and it is deliberate.

I can agree with regular math being important.
You can't own or rent a home or go to the store & Survive without a common Knowledge of Costs
and how to add them up.

But I highly disagree with the experts that Numbers are a universal language
that aliens would definitely be able to talk to us with.

True aliens would most likely have a totally different idea on counting.

4 won't mean the fourth letter of the american alphabet d
4 won't mean 4 taps on wood
won't mean four notes from an organ
and even if it did, mean something to them it could mean a declaration of war
or I need to take a dump.

even sign language could get us in trouble with true aliens.
motioning you are hungry could be an invite to have your head
ripped of to play a game.

which it turn could translate to I bought a new sigh today so grunt.
