Today I started a new permission.
Its a place I've tried to get permission for before, but the old man told me ( people have been asking me for years, and im going to tell you what I told all the other people. NO WAY!!!)
So he passed away about 6months ago, and the kids sold. Ive seen the for sale sign for about 3months and been waiting patiently for the sign to come down so I can ask the new owners..
Well that day came last week, and I stopped and asked. The great thing is his wife use to teach were my daughter goes to school.
Im in like flint..lol
He told me to give him a week and come back. So yesterday I stopped again and he told me ok.
I said i will be back today..
After work I went there, and let me tell you, this is the hardest place I have ever hunted. So much iron, sounds like a machine gun going off in my head phones. I dont like running any disc. But here I had to, it it was filtering to much out. As soon as i went back to 0 disc. I started to get them little squeaks.
Anyway, not a hole lot found, but man the 1 real good keeper was all I needed here.
Also found some IHs, and a toasted KG111, I think I see 1773?
And a really cool clay marble. And some silver thing that looks like the end of a pipe?
I believe this place is holding out on some more great finds. Just have to be mentally prepared for it!
All that noise takes a toll on you.
Sorry I've been rambling on but I'm flying high on this one.
I've wanted one of these for a long time..
Ps, I DID IT AHAB8!!!!! LOL
Thanks for looking, and being there to share with you guys and girls.
George

Funny you said that.
I have been working on a permission that was the biggest underground railroad properties in Philly.
They are bringing me up this week at there monthly meeting.
I promised to give them everything I find for the tours and museum.
Its a Quaker Families estate.
If I found one, it would mean the word to me..
Keep your fingers crossed.

It would be hard to give up the potential great finds from a location like that. However, I agree completely that it would be totally worth it to gain access and have the thrill of digging what ever might be there.

I'd be ok with the finds ending up in a museum or somewhere for all to see, rather than in a homeowners junk drawer or for sale on eBay lol.

Good luck at the site, I hope they let you have at it!

Great finds Vino! Big congratulationz!

I see you are from the Philly area from all your other posts.

I could not imagine how you were always pulling out these oldies--but I get it now! Great area to detect I bet!

You know how to do it!

Warm wishes to you.
