Today I started a new permission.
Its a place I've tried to get permission for before, but the old man told me ( people have been asking me for years, and im going to tell you what I told all the other people. NO WAY!!!)
So he passed away about 6months ago, and the kids sold. Ive seen the for sale sign for about 3months and been waiting patiently for the sign to come down so I can ask the new owners..
Well that day came last week, and I stopped and asked. The great thing is his wife use to teach were my daughter goes to school.
Im in like flint..lol
He told me to give him a week and come back. So yesterday I stopped again and he told me ok.
I said i will be back today..
After work I went there, and let me tell you, this is the hardest place I have ever hunted. So much iron, sounds like a machine gun going off in my head phones. I dont like running any disc. But here I had to, it it was filtering to much out. As soon as i went back to 0 disc. I started to get them little squeaks.
Anyway, not a hole lot found, but man the 1 real good keeper was all I needed here.
Also found some IHs, and a toasted KG111, I think I see 1773?
And a really cool clay marble. And some silver thing that looks like the end of a pipe?
I believe this place is holding out on some more great finds. Just have to be mentally prepared for it!
All that noise takes a toll on you.
Sorry I've been rambling on but I'm flying high on this one.
I've wanted one of these for a long time..
Ps, I DID IT AHAB8!!!!! LOL
Thanks for looking, and being there to share with you guys and girls.
George

Unbelievable find Vino, you are on a heater, can't stop now, I think you need to go hunting tomorrow. LOL

Thats unreal. Awesome job. Your spot sounds like the 1700's log home i have been hitting; tons of iron.

That's one sweet silver, congrats

Wow, that half has perfect patina. What is the other little coin-looking silver? That could be a pipe stem or possibly a writing pen maybe too? Congrats on your latest great discovery!

Just another ho-hum hunt for you eh George?? Seriously man, great damn find! The hard work paid off and something tells me there's more to come out of that yard for you. GL & Congrats!!

Someone told me you found a great coin today so I've been patiently waiting for you to post it up. That is an awesome coin George and I am super jealous!

Nice hunt. Love the bust half. Way to go.
I just put the for sale sign in my front yard. Im movin to Pa.

Just one? LOL!
With your luck I would have thought there would have been at least six to find in that yard. :laughing9:

You my friend are on a roll that may never be equaled! :notworthy:

Oh - that marble had me wondering at first why there was a huge musket ball in the yard!

Congrats on your latest banner! :)

Thanks Keith,
I think I would have a coronary if I found 6. Lol
I almost had one finding 1.
I think all this luck is because of the detector you sold me!!

Ohhh Man! Finding anything 1700s is slim to none in my area but 1827 now that's a more realistic goal. I like seeing the stuff that I have a chance of finding. Sweet find!

Thanks Helix,
And hell ya, you have a chance.
I like the old stuff, so I only hunt the old sites!!!

hot diggity, congrats on capped bust silver. It's nice finding CB half dimes and dimes, but a half dollar? Just insane

Wow! It's a beautiful coin Vino.

Almost had a coronary when I got THAT message haha! Like I said, you're having the best year a guy could hope for. It looks like the square base 2 variety, so coool!

Thanks Mike,
I knew you would like that one..
Hope it helped you sand faster?? Lol
And Man oh man, this Summer is definitely going to be hard to repeat.

That's quite a find there Vino.....congrats on your nice bust.

George you never cease to amaze! I want one! I also want to be the one sending the fresh finds texts for a change! Maybe this weekend....

George, again, many congrats for that rarely dug big silver. As we both know, those things are as hard to find as hens teeth. The saga continues .......
