First time on in awhile folks. My Dad finally past this past saturday from his battle with lung cancer. Not had much sleep & am up tonight with not much to do.So thought I'd get on here & show one of the displays I just got done with. Each & everything you see in these pics. that will follow is all things me & my dad have found here on the coast of N.C.Anytime someone would like to see a close up of a piece I'd be happy to do that for ya.Over the coming days & weeks as I get time I will be setting up displays & working on this.So more will follow in time just have alot of things to do otherwise as well.So check back from time to time if you like.It will take awhile to go though everything & find all of it to display.Hope you all enjoy.I sure have enjoyed it with my dad. Thanks

Man oh man....thanks. one of those pipes has been on the top of my things to find list for a long time.
It takes some hard looking & I'm sure the right places don't hurt either buddy.I'd like to find a stone one some day myself but all these years going at it never even seen a sign of one here yet.
Take Care,

I agree TN! I'm not sure if all of his pieces are personal finds of his and his dad's, but if I had to bet I would say they are. Other than the platform pipes (only because I know nothing about them) his collection looks NC through and through. From what I have seen on his posts, I would say he has a collection just as nice as Steve V. We all know Steve's collection isn't made up if busted points or field grade stuff.

Everything Buddy,Everything I've shown are all found by me or my dad pipes & all.Everything was also found right here on the coast of N.C. by us (me/dad).Also keep in mind that me & my sister are dividing up what he had so really your only seeing half. When ever she gets to setting hers up i'll get you a shot of that. But there are still more laying around to go through.

i like the red hafted scraper with the extra notch on the left side
steve

Do you think the odd notch could be a spoke shave added to a hafted scraper, for what ever reason? Nice find.

Wow, I missed all the new pics, very nice. Not sure what to think of the piece your asking about, looks old. The Dirtbrothers have a similar piece on their site they call a possible paleo. Thanks for the ongoing show.

Just my guess. It looks like a Clovis that was found, and altered by archaic people. The thin base could be the remaining flute. It seems like more of a point was added as well. Let me know if you believe this could be the case. I have read that primitive people hunted artifacts just as we do. I doubt they spent hour after hour looking or digging, but, if they ran across one, they certainly kept it. One more thing, I hope you did not think I was insinuating, in my earlier post that you bought your artifacts. I wasn't sure, that's why I even mentioned it. I could tell for the most part that they were NC finds also. Looking forward to more pics!!

God Bless You. Your dad is safe now. And in heaven it is just as hard to find perfect artifacts as it is here. Or else it would not be heaven.

That collection is beautiful. That big point with the river patina (?) looks like one called "Big Red" from Florida. Overstreet valued it at 50k. That one with paper is an heirloom. Pay Jim Bennett the $30 and give it to your day's grand babies. He will smile on you.
