Well, here's what I have gleaned. "Corona Virus" covers a broad spectrum of viruses. They are dubbed "Corona" because when they are seen under a microscope they have a crown appearance. Corona = crown. They have been around and that is why it is listed on the back of a can of Lysol. What they/we are calling "Corona Virus" is a new strain that "we" know very little about.

Now here is something interesting:

This is straight from cdc.gov:

Questions:

Is this getting blown out of proportion? IMO yes, but...

Is this part of the protocol for how to deal with the next pandemic? IDK maybe:dontknow:

Are people freaking out? Most definitely.

Is this the end of the world as we know it? Well, everything changes. I have more thoughts, but they would all be political in nature and so I will save it. (Bill, 2 songs in there for ya :laughing9:)

Did I buy the last 2 boxes of Bunn coffee filters? You better darn well tootin' believe it! In my defense, the store I frequent usually only has 1 or 2 boxes on the shelf. I believe I am the only one in the area that still uses a Bunn. Everyone else uses those k-cups. There was a bunch of other coffee filters left on the shelves. Very little T. P. left. When someone gets the bright idea they could use coffee filters for, well, you know, well they'll be gone too. :tongue3:

From what I've heard from Dr. Segal on FN, normally healthy people who get the CV19, will only experience something similar to a bad cold. It's people in poor health who get pneumonia, and people in poorer health die.

Yep
The media are the expect. We should listen to them as much as our dog signals for a poop outside.

Anyone else seen that new movie, "Knives Out" it a who dunnit comedy with Daniel Craig as the main private investigator. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.

Rook I wondered why there were so many white feathers when I swaned the deck!

I'm about sick and tired of Covid-19 conspiracy theories.

China says the U.S. Military introduced it into China.

Iran says the Jews did it.

Facebook freaks say the government did it.

What's so bad about the bad sanitation at a fish/animal market story?

I have been self quarantined for the past 2 years but not for the virus.
So I have lots of practice in the many ways to cause mischief while inside the abode.

I got carried away with reporting the news, get out the lash!:whip2:

Ok who has found treasure today?

Rusty,

Glad you're keeping level headed about the whole thing....poor sanitation=corona virus=people get sick and unfortunately some of them die.

No one is orchestrating this mess or have a hidden agenda to control you..... time to get out from under the bed already.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Otherwise this is what happens to you.......:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I volunteer to test Corona, as long as it comes in a bottle with a wedge of lime. :laughing7:

Varied type virus's exist.
Among the noro types that came to bug humans not all that long ago historically , are virus known to animals.
Bats are known through research to have such virus's. Making it easy to suspect the particular China market.Or , at least easy to point a finger at the market ,despite the question of if it was brought to the market another way...

I'm not saying a bat at the market is/was the genesis of China's , and then the worlds woes.
The bats ain't talking. Through the media anyways.

Bill, I am sure you and the Mrs. are great cooks, but I don't think I am that desperate yet. No offense, but if it ain't deep fried walleye chunks, I don't eat it. I am funny that way. OK well, I have been know to eat deep fried cod and striper. I can't even lie and say, "It looks good, Bill." It looks scary to me. Maybe Simon will share his Mickey D's? :tongue3:

Sis: A few weeks ago I stopped at Burger King and figured I would try their Impossible Whopper. I like my vegetables and LOVE hamburger ! I went in with the thought that they would not taste right. I was totally wrong. I honestly could NOT tell the difference. Usually the day after eating a whopper I have a bad after taste, ( even using mouthwash and brushing my teeth ). Absolutely no after taste whatsoever. I have not tried anyone else's veggie burgers so I can't comment on them, but Burger King gets a 10 from me.

Bill's meal looks good when done, but I too will take a pass. Bill's home for supper use to be on my bucket list....................but no more. Sorry Bill ???

Bill I will be over for dinner, sounds good to me!

I have wanted to try the meatless burgers but haven't gotten out there to try one yet. I wonder if they use a Smokey meat flavoring? I tried meatless sausage, it had a lot of hot red pepper as flavoring. Not that great.
