Several deer on a run (first gear) across the bigger or biggest ag fields near me on my way home from grocery shopping today.
I could tell we were on a collision course but no reason for them to keep running , let alone cross the road.
Hundreds of yards behind them was...Nothing chasing them.
Oh crap! I grabbed the brakes and cascading groceries off the back seat broke a bottle seal to stink up some hunting cloths and more.
Stupid deer.
Then I gassed it because the lolly gagger had caught up and I wasn't going to give it the pleasure of running into the side of the truck.
It crossed behind me and jumped a fence no one else jumped. Just to prove it too was stupid.
They ran two more very big fields and were still running.
(Deer don't have the heart/lungs for long fast runs. Low gear though...They can trot right along on clear ground.)
