Good morning!

Yesterday was interesting, as will be tomorrow. Yesterday I got my No Pass, No Drive papers from the Carter County Board of Ed., meaning I can get my permit now. So tomorrow I'll be taking a test and getting a photo ID. I'm also getting a checking account opened tomorrow.

So my mom got a new State job, and she has a brand new phone just for work. She wanted a screen protector, so we went to a Verizon store, and they wanted $50 for one. HECK NO! So she checked ebay, and found 3 for $5. That's a scam if I've ever heard one. So somehow, I was dragged into the deepest pits of depravity, skinny jean, and ultra hip, ultra annoying music: the Mall.

It actually wasn't that bad. Found what she needed for $25, and I saw a blonde girl that made me re-think my "anti-marriage" stance on life. :laughing7:

It's great hard wood and is known and used by fine cabinet makers. The biologist said she had never seen one this large and that it was over 100 years old. That predates the neighborhood so it's an old jungle survivor. I hated to see this beast die....so I will at the very least honor it by treating it right in its after life. It will be milled into giant 14 foot stand alone bartops. The smallest cross section is 29 inches and the largest is 41. its massive !! 2 boards sistered together and glued would make a giant conference table too. Since it's rare to see one on the market I'm sure it will get some attention. Shes all waxed and put away for now.....were gonna need a bigger saw.
