I well remember climbing abandoned poles to “rescue” those. The wires were long gone and hunters would shoot them. I hated to see them destroyed. I was just a kid, and everything was a treasure to me.

That falls into the category of “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” I like them! I hate cleaning them, though. 😕
I have one that is just setting on the top of the electric pole. Oh there’s wire, just not to that one. It’s contemporary, brown and white porcelain or ceramic. I still want it.

Every year we would put them on the long picture window sill. Put the string of Xmas lights so there was one under each one. Looked right pretty and different as nobody else had that show.
