Magnentius, Emperor AD 350-353.
Magnus Magnentius was a general and usurper who served in Gaul under Constans. Magnentius, acclaimed Augustus in January 350, had Constans killed and gained control over most of the Western Empire. Constans' brother, Constantius II led a successful campaign against him. Magnentius committed suicide on 11th August 353. All his acts concerning political and religious reform were then quickly repealed by Constantius.

Good evening pirates and piratesses! Interesting day I had. As usual, I met my daughter at my dad’s. Before we headed out to breakfast, she told me that there was someone looking to metal detect on her town fb page and the lovely townspeople ripped him up one side and down the other. She said some comments were so bad that they got deleted. Long story short, I reached out to the guy and invited him and his fiancé to detect with the little group we started last year. He in turn invited us to go to an event tomorrow night. Last minute and I have not heard from all, but so far it’s a no go. I am not sure if I want to go by myself.
Anyway….
We went to a Good Will. I didn’t buy anything, but I was reminded of one of my crew mates and it brought a smile to my face. 😊

On the way home, I was a bad 👧. I stopped at an antique store and I bought stuff. Hold on boys, it’s a little bit girly. Lol
I bought a carnival glass doll, uranium salt and pepper and bowl to set off my Easter table.

I also picked up a couple bottles that were wanting a new home. The vendor who sold me the uranium glass wares threw in the pure glycerin medicine bottle. If you zoom in you can figure out it’s from Cincinnati Ohio. Yay!

Boy o boy.....that was a sick treasure hunting day....I found 2 big 8s in the same hole from the 1733 fleet....wooooo hooooo !!
