Mornin all.
Bart is on it!
Man , I can remember marble times.
Snow melted along the edges of the school (thermal mass working with the sun plus ground temp and inside heat) in spring , and marble fever set it....
Marbles were not easy to come by for me beyond winning them. Wasn't an ask for them at home and they magically appeared. L.o.l.
And marbles were as easy to gamble away as to win. So choose carefully which game and contestants to get involved in.
You might have some long ago kids prized possessions at one time.
We used to bury stuff on the playground. Even coins.
Being little kids and or triangulation crude we lost caches. And some simply left.
Something that really hasn't changed much for me over the years. L.o.l..
But your recovery might as well be the kids Dads gold for what it was worth back then if the kid was into marbles like some could be....
Congrats!
They're in your hand now. No longer hidden.
Now the light can play on them again.
And they can function as intended again should they need to.
Another art meets science meets human appeal durable sphere held up individually to note individual character and admired for what they were , and are.
Riches! Personal wealth.
Barter material should the kid have been in need.
Entertainment.
Proof of game play ability.
Pretties.
Molecules from someone in the past. An oil stain unseen by the naked eye still part of the past traveling through time longer perhaps than the person who stashed them. Now on to another set of hands.
And marbles still traveling after a rest.
Where were they made?
How many hands have they been through?
How well or not well have they fared?
Someone didn't spend them with a slingshot. A scattered fate for a group that.
Who and why the cache? And why no recovery by the same?
In other words.
You done good enough to call the hunt a success!
Keep hunting. More recoveries await.
