It's known for its firey chatoyance and figuring. Every log we slice is a work of art. We are lucky and only one in ten will be relatively plain. There is demand for the straight plain stuff too.....I love the crazy figured pieces to work with.

Some other stuff....little knick nacks. A epoxy pour charcuterie/serving board. And a couple spoons I carved. Slowly chipping a snake head on the one spoon handle.

The first time I carved a spoon it felt so satisfying and familiar!! With the addition of a carvers vice I can smoke them out 2-3 a day !! The carvers vice has saved me a lot of blood......holding the wood in your lap and using a spoon skorp near your groin area was not as practical!!
