Why dig every target.....because on a 1715 beach everything is a clue. After looking at every spec of lead I unfolded what I thought was a piece of lead treasure chest liner. Sure enough there was the tell tale signs of a faint canvas print. The coins (in this case half reales) are stored in sacks and placed in chests that were lined with thin sheets of lead. The enormous weight of the silver coins would press the print of the canvas bags into the lead liners......this piece was less than a foot from my half reale.....every clue counts, and this clue points to more reales being at this location.
