Top of the day to you John
It's a good time to research/map out sites.
When the long winter days get on me.
I map, with thought I might have a look one day.
Pins on Google Earth are many.
Problem is I have no access to anywhere even if I marked it. Wondered around a bit looking for native American artifacts as there was a tribe around these parts but nothing. Just found a dear skull which I don't need but grabbed it

Good afternoon to you as well. Hope you're doing well WD.
Well I took a nap today. That’s good in my book.
Oh, hey! I took pics just for you.

I need some critters to eat these critters. Lol

Correct indeed
As a child I could smell the big bugs before seeing them when they emerged. Don't smell them that way today.
We have brown June bugs that are clumsy. Don't do much but bounce off you if there's a collision at night.
The black "stag beetles"(?) have large pincers. They emerge around the same time as June bugs. And emerge near daylights end. Some during the day.
We've had dogs get too curious (the smell likely factors) and get pinched as pups. Bettles hang on! Dog yipes and runs carrying it on a lip.

I find those grubs while digging and suspect they could be either.
Not using chemicals in the yard there's plenty of stuff such as they for moles to hunt.
And collisions around the porch lights at night! And the windows. And siding. And anything outdoors. l.o.l..
Wear a hat.
