Me and the most notorious pirate to ever roam the beaches of the 1715 fleet. Tom ruck !! Many a treasure hunter wants to know his secret treasure holes. He was able to scoop up 200 escudos (one of which he still wares) and many more fantastic gold and silver treasures. Never had a lease or permit, and never cared. Much of his treasure was sold at auction when he was arrested for operating the biggest cocain smuggling operation in floridas history. But like any pirate he managed to keep a large amount hidden, and was able to survive being America's #1 fugitive on the the FBIs ten most wanted list, and then a lengthy prison term. He always managed to keep his kids fed and clothed no matter how hot the fire was. He is an international man of mystery and one of the most successful treasure hunters to ever recover 1715 treasure. The past is the past, and I don't have a single regret about being close to his son, and all the secret whispering, and speculations that came with that friendship. We have coffee when im in vero treasure hunting every morning....he was great to us kids growing up !!

Interesting read, even sounded a tad familiar as probably back in the day I read/heard of these guys being busted.
He was a major mover/shaker in the industry.
Did his time now just a living out the years.

Well having grown up in the keys, vero, and bahamas.....it was impossible to not grow up with and around the children of pirates....many of us worked with these pirates unknowingly !! They opened the businesses in our communities. It was pretty normal business in florida....good, bad, or indifferent.
 

Mornin all.

Thrill of going into the big city for amputee clinic today. No yay.

Rain and colder for days , maybe a few in a row forecast starting tonight.
Two more days till I go sit in the new (dry roofed) blind and decompress from synthetic life. Definite Yay there!

Many moons ago I tread where if the importation members pulled up stacks and moved out of FL.
The economy would have sunk big time.
Lots got in, made it, got out.
Live life well.

It will be filled with getting ready to leave this property. Took down a bunch of fencing yesterday, today scrapping the metal and whatever many projects that have to be done. House closed so till the beginning of November to get out of here. I assume I'll be out sooner than later my mother isn't handling people changing her childhood home well so she wants out of I imagine I'll be busy busy helping my step dad move things out of here and clear things out here.

mornin everybody-it's morning somewhere-me and my baby are dragging today- it's rare for us to be out after dark but we make exceptions for tapings of austin city limits tv show tapings-last night we saw the taping of a band called Pavement-as usual we'd never heard of them but they are what they call indy rock or underground or something like that-they were from the 90's and were basically a bunch of old guys who rocked their butts off-we really enjoyed it-the episode will air later this season-if you see the show look for an old guy waving an RCT banner in the balcony-that was me-we get tickets by having our name pulled from the hat-we get lucky fairly often--wishing happy holidays to our northern friends and special good luck to RC and JV-and the usual amount of luck to everybody else-there's enough for everyone-i've got a bunch of crazy stuff to tell y'all but don't have time right this moment-it's because i'm just that much of a hard working son of a gun

Investigators seize boat from Hermitage man, Chase Cominsky, accused of fishing scandal​

Investigators with the Mercer County District Attorney's Office and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) obtained a warrant to seize the items as part of the investigation. Mercer County District Attorney Pete Acker said they're being taken as evidence as they were allegedly used during the cheating scandal.
