Well folks....

Its happening... what i have warned of for 30 years... The worst case scenario.

I am not sure. if i will be back on here until after... and even then will be iffy
It doesn't look good for your area as the rainfall will certainly have an impact.. Then there's the surge and that will depend on the tide level over night when it passes.
Strange that a lot of storms come ashore during the night, as did Fiona did on the East Coast.

The longer it stalls under Cuba, the more likely the cone will change.....it hasn't moved much in 24 hours.....it was supposed to be even with us this morning, and make landfall on Tuesday.....its not even to cuba yet. I ain't sure its gonna miss us yet ?

Morning Bart
We stayed on the barrier island of Anna Maria for a number of winters.
As ARC had stated the area has been not effected since the early 60's.
A couple of homes we stayed at had the newer required-break away 1st floor so the main house was on the second/3rd level.
Then there was a few that were single floor dwellings/on the beach-or on the same block.
Lots of the areas were 10ft and under for max. height.
Looking at the surge forecast and the topography of the island.
There's no doubt in my mind there's going to be a lot of damage to the island.

Just keep in mind...we are already having flooding from strong king tides !!

This is in islamorada at the world wide sportsman !! Just normal king tide....this tide must be taken into account with the storm surge.....a low tide landfall could lessen the effects of storm surge also !! The king tide is a double edge sword, and an unknown factor at this point. Ill go tie some stuff up and have lunch....its crunch time down here. All my shutters are out, but not in place yet....im waiting to see how this progresses.

I guess the furniture might be floating around if the surge gets a tad high.
Cool restaurant
I wonder how the wait staff feel at the end of the day? :laughing7:

This is the "padded" info... depending on speed... size... strength... PLUS "angle"... / "track"

This has a plus / minus... in feet.... this is shaping up to be "the perfect storm".

Perfect as in.... worst case scenario.

Folks... i will sign off now for i have much yet to do to secure my "toys" / "stuff".

I will be definitely bugging out... no choice... will be in a hotel by Wednesday at latest.
