My first large cent! Found at my ancestors place too!

I made a trip with my dad to a favorite site this past weekend, a place in Dauphin county PA where one of my ancestors lived. The area was quite overgrown, so the first day we didn't find a ton of things, but it was worth the trip. \ I have no idea what happened to the IHP. Looks like it...

Well went back to the 40acre property that I knew had a barn and house on it about 100 years ago. Normally ignore about 30 acres of it but decided heck I'll get some excerise and check the rest out. Found about 70 pound of damned scrap iron I had to lug around and got rained on but I'm stubborn. Went for a long time till I was hurting too much to want to keep going. Alas my efforts as always where in vain just a few odds and ends. The value looking things looks pretty old, I think the shield looking thing in an old motorcycle gas cap, the weird rounded thing is part of a farm thing saw on just posted that wasn't broken off, don't know what the others are.

Awesome coin, I've never found one and I've been detecting a long time.

Oh at least that and a few more decades.
Just on the phone so picture is small.
I'll have another look at it in the morning.
Still it's a good recovery.

Good to know. I thought it was just old faucet crap I always come across lol. I have another piece that is kind of like that somewhere. I was noticing ate away square nails coming up so much of been at least a small house somewhere on that 40acres that I just don't have records of. But so much land to go over and this land sinks stuff deep fast. So coins not easy to come by or anything decent unless the land gets plowed up
 

Look at my really fancy water resistant casing I got for my metal detector lol. Just put it in that and that in my pocket and rain no problem and two for extra water resistance lol.
