Zakon you’ve hit on a wide range of topics today that I have quite an interest in, from the immortal Paul “Bear” Bryant and his coke bottles that all good BAMA fans have at least one of toyour speaking of fellow brothers in arms. It would seem that we have much in common other than treasure hunting.
The brothers in arms...
I just like to train.
Not anymore.
Too old.
I have never served in the armed forces.
Much respect for those who have past, present and future.
My asthma of all things stopped me from what I believe should be mandatory military service after high school or when you hit age 18.

I tried.
Rejected.

I had asthma that was extremely bad when I was young, breathing machine and doctor visits every week. Luckily I grew out of it as I got older. Enlisted at 17 straight outta high school (after a couple of months chasing girls up and down the gulf coast). Spent a little over four years seeing places and meeting people I never would have any other way.

Glad you beat the asthma.
Thank you for your service and the sacrifices that come with it!

Thank you, and with those sacrifices came life long friends and memories that I wouldn’t trade a gold escudo for

True that! Me too. A memory of hardships overcome along with the friends who accompanied me. Shenanigans perpetrated on the unsuspecting and laughter among confusion. Thank you also for your choice to serve!

Crash it’s the men like you that went before and paved the way for those of us that came later. Just as the men and women went before you in viet nam, Korea Germany, and all of the places far from home.
