...Anyone here play guitar ? I have a question on his technique.
It appears to be a variation on the Spanish style of finger picking, which is slightly different from the "folk" style.

What will really make you drool is the collected turkey drippings from smoking made into gravy with bits of turkey served over cornbread stuffing.
*NOTE* Stuffing is cooked separate from the smoked turkey.

Thanks. What I'm wondering is.When he(gently) places his right index finger on a string he is getting a note ,without strumming or picking THAT string. And he cant be doing it with volume control or else the entire song would be loud ???
Its really freaking cool what he's doing there. But I can't figure out How .

I'm sorry I haven't been on today. Bad day. Everybody around here is getting 50-60 mile an hour winds, but because we live on a big hill, we get 60 steady, with 70 gusts. Lost power twice, now running on a generator...

A big tree fell down in our yard...

Our laundry room flooded...

Our truck had a punctured tire, and another damaged tire, both were replaced...

good grief.

Damn RR
If it weren’t for bad luck you wouldn’t have any. Hope things improve.:icon_thumright:

Eh, nothing we can really do about it. Just a pain in the butt is all.

Eddie van Halen uses a similar "tapping" technique.

And now someone bought one of the bullets I wanted badly, because I didn't do it this morning. Great. That was a great one too.

Just checked again. Someone else bought my over saved bullet from Little Roundtop. D*****.

Ahoy there pirates, just checking in to wish all a happy Thanksgiving Day and to tell a hunting story of course.

Last weekend on day one of gun deer WI 2019 I tagged a 2-1/2 year old ten pointer. I was at a friend's property where he stuck me up in tree. The thing is when he was helping me cross a board walk I slipped on the planks and dropped my rifle. More on that later.

So I'm up in this tree and at about fifteen minutes to sunrise I hear the crunch, crunch, crunch of something walking through the woods. I turned in time to see an adult size deer trot trough my shooting lane on my left. I couldn't see its head but it was about 75 yards away and it had a big body. Well this deer comes and roots around in the heavy brush in between my left and straight ahead shooting lanes. It sounded like it couldn't be more than 20-25 yards away but I could not see it. After about fifteen tense minutes I hear it walking up the game trail towards my straight ahead shooting lane. I sat up a bit in position, and some horns stepped into my lane about 35 yards away. It was funny that I didn't get excited. I just thought "Bonus! I would have been happy with a doe!"

I lined up, squeezed the trigger, and to my total surprise the buck fell down in its own tracks. First time that ever happened to me. It kicked once with its hind legs and rolled on its side with its belly facing me. I kept the iron sights on it for about ten minutes in case it managed to get up and run, but it didn't. Then it kicked its hind legs again so I figured I better shoot again. I aimed for the neck because shooting into the deer's boiler room might have ruined the backstrap meat. Shot off the fooling brow tine! When I dropped my rifle I must have knocked the sight off and the rifle was shooting a bit high and ten inches to the right at 35 yards. I quickly made a decision and aimed with a little Kentucky windage catching the neck.

Thank God I didn't have to run that deer down! I getting too old for that kind of pursuit. The first shot had broken both shoulders and passed through totally anchoring the animal but not a mortal blow. What a blessing to have a freezer full of venison that I shot with my broke @$$ rifle. :laughing7:

Have a blessed day all.
