It's just a tad nipply out this morning eh Jim... I've never seen the dog run out for a peep and back inside so quickly. :laughing7:

The weather forecast is for 4" - 8" of the white stuff here on Sunday night and into Monday... looks like Monday's going to be a 'work from home day'.
Dave I have to tell you a little story.
I showed our farm friends a picture this past year of your little girl. The reply in the excited 6 octave raised voice:
"Is that a dog!!!" :laughing7::laughing7:
Now they 4 Great Pyrenees-so you kind of know how your little cutie was viewed.

Last night Max was like a young puppy goofing around on the end of the lead wanting for me to stay out and play.
Nope!

I see you'll have a long weekend Dave.
Snow day on Monday-the traffic should just lovely in the GTA. :laughing7::tongue3:

Don't miss those days of dealing with a multicultural society that never really dealt with the winter road conditions growing up. Seen some real boneheaded driving.

Oh man, you really don't want to get me started on how the 'New Canadians' in this city don't know how to drive in the snow Jim. :laughing7: Part of getting your drivers licence here in Canada, should include learning what a winter tire looks like and what you need to do to stop your car safely on a snow covered road.

When I was a teen, we used to love going out on the back roads in a snow storm and do some drift-busting!

How do you keep the chickens warm in this bitter cold Jim? Do you have a warmer in the chicken coop or do you sneak in there at night and hug each chicken individually to warm them up?
Oh they're spoiled when it comes to chickens. Oil heater keeps it at 40F approx., lights on at 6am-9pm, treats containing fruits, veggies, fat/oils for energy. 22 eggs yesterday from 24 layers. Our little Pips (91 weeks)is getting up in age now so her production is down to 3 a week average.

I hear you Jim, whenever we're out for a walk I always have someone ask, "what kind of dog is she anyway"?
People think she's either a Maltese, a Bishon or Miniature Poodle... I just say, nope I call her my little 'pain-in-the -butt'. :tongue3:

So how old will 'Pips' live to be and what will you do when she stops laying eggs? You must have a sentimental attachment to her by now or is she simply an egg producer that will become a Quarter Chicken Dinner with fries at Swiss Chalet one day? :icon_scratch:

My father is from Genoa....he is old world for sure.....so he's worried for me and wants to give advice on this covid.
So here's my instructions from pop

open all windows so the germs can blow away.....if you have fans place one at the front door blowing in, and one at the back door blowing out !! Its the coldest day we've had all year...that just ain't gonna happen!!

So he calls and says I left lysol by your front door and you havnt opened the windows ?? Now he says to set an alarm for every 2 hours.....he says when it goes off to get up and spray the house down !!

So im supposed to get up every 2 hours and spray the freezing cold house with lysol and that should do it......he says ill be better in 3 days.....I think he's trying to kill me

My response was to close all windows, and crank the heat up !!

Sounds like good advice to me Bart.

Now, when you say "the freezing cold house"... do you mean 60F in the Florida Keys? :laughing7:

Pretty weird sitting here in my house with nothing on, in complete silence. All I here is traffic in the distance drifting in on the north breeze, and the low hum of the fridge compressor....I had the TV on for 16 hours yesterday.....just can't turn it on yet.....no wife, no son, wow its quiet !!

Yep LOL:laughing7: Don't know how he's still alive. IF it would go fast,he'd push it faster. One weekend at winter fest we were ON Lake George NY ( w/no speed limits on the ice).At one time we were doing way above 100 in his Raptor 4x4 ,Then he cut the wheel THEN we were going sideways at over 100.....Ever look out the passengers window at 100 going sideways ?:laughing7:
I'll never forget it .
That would be a dirty shorts memory.
There's a few in my younger days that rented space up in the cluttered attic.

Going home in buddies /72 charger, he took the long 90° corner at 90+ in second and then buried it.
We had a great straight stretch and knowing the road going to our town we had a 2.5 mile run.
The speedo was rapped to 30mph, and we were doing a slow drift from one side of the highway to the other and back.
The other 3 were passed out in the back, buddy looked over, leaning against the door as he steered with one hand-
He calmly said..."We'll never know"-my reply-"Ya"
We figured later we probably were going 150-160 mph from the gearing taxed to the limits.
