John, Good lucky with the wedding catering job.
Thank you Bill. I loath catering wedding lol. Often won't get to go home till like 1am and it can be tons of work. Also I don't like dealing with drunk people and I often see people be rude to the female coworkers which is hard for me to let it be as I was raised to respect women so I don't take kindly to people being disrespectful in that way. Just such fun stuff weddings can be.

We'll be cooking up a pork fillet for supper with mushroom and garlic gravy. Pretty much all the recipes call for cream since we don't have any on hand we'll use this pork chop recipe as a guideline. Will cook up a red cabbage dish with vinegar, wine and apple German style and some type of potato or other.

John, A funny story for you since my first job after leaving school was at a hotel. They were having some fancy gathering or other with a 5 course meal, etc....with about 250 attendees. As I was clearing away some dirty dishes one of the people at the table went backwards with his elbow for some reason or other so the dishes I had in my hands went crashing to the floor.

I ended up getting a standing ovation not the sort of attention you want.....:laughing7:

Lol yeah stuff like that happens sometimes in work like that. It's inevitable no matter how careful you are.

Bill you know how to get peoples attention! 😁

John hope it all goes smoothly and the surprises are all nice ones.
Should go fine though lol I'm sure there will be things that don't go the best as there is always something to make things frustrating in these big events but that's just the way it is.

Ready for work

Boy!!! The Captain's feeling very giving!!! Does "he know" he gave you all that?
How did you manage that WIF?? All I got was an empty keg, couple of fake gold coins, a sock with a hole in it, & a broken key to the rum room! Talk about favorites!

News here said 70 dead in tornados wake. Prayers for everyone.

Glad to hear the crew are safe.
Winds are gusty and with the rain the drive home sucked. The wet blacktop, high beams coming at a person, everyone riding up everyone's arse.
Power going off and on, stormy, stormy night.
Be safe
