Well somedays it doesn't really matter what a person does or tries to do things just go in a direction not intended to go as planned.
Trying to find an easy for transplanting the blueberries. So I figured on using the large tractor and drilling holes-120 of them, good plan in the head.
Shear pin fixed-got 18 holes drilled on Sunday-all fired up in the head of getting it done-high hopes-then that old familiar smell of hot antifreeze.
Pulled up the auger/stopped everything and there it was a dripping bad. So I drove the tractor to the end of the row, took the shovel and cleaned up the spot that it leaked on the ground.
I adjusted my drip pan set up for dripping fluids (power steering pump) and drove it back to the shop.

Where is it leaking from :icon_scratch: can't see, black as ol' heck under the hood, crawled under, dripping all over the face, which got the glasses/eye, up the nostril, oh yummy!
Now I'm loosing the sense of haha just about now.
So off went the hood, the the front cowling, then the rad, then the water pump, then the power steering pump.OK STOP!!!! I'm in a ripping mood......Time for some new.....

So Monday I phone the tractor supply for parts-Rad hoses-3-5 weeks-water pump seal-3days-no power steering pump/rocker arm gasket/fan belt-:dontknow:. Say What! :BangHead:

Yesterday I go to start the ATV-clunk, hit the starter clunk, try to pull cord, doesn't move....Throw it neutral roll it down into yard-then tried to start it-nope....
I wonder....I smelled fuel...took the dipstick out....engine oil smelled like gas.....motor seized....not my first rodeo with this.....
Stuck needle valve in carb...filled air air breather/engine with gas....off to repair shop....

So I call the tractor supply company back-talk to the main guy....oh ya we can get these hoses by Thursday-have the power steering pump on the shelf-water pump on order-as the hoses.
Well it looks like Thursday for everything in the order....WTF!
Glad that there are a few brains still in the world that know how to keep it running-because when they retire it will be one sad day for many that rely on them.

So no ATV for watering, no tractor for drilling, had excavator moving rock regrading the slope of gravel, placing large rocks, trying to rebuild slope access to dock. Almost lost new excavator off the slope ($90K) Operator/owner getting nervous.
OK lets wait till tractor is back in play so I can ferry large rocks down to slope edge so he can thumb over the cliff edge to build up the slope.
It takes the crawler 15 minutes to get one rock,,,$$$.....Time sucker.....

Oh the joys of making things happen, just bought 3 PT 2x12x16' $80 each-welcome to the new world of price gouging........

One of those reverse Midas touch days?
Oh yes.
Tired old horses.

I need to order another spare 6 volt internal coil for the tractor with a magneto. The last one got spent out in the field on a hot summers day. A learning experience that was...
By the time I brush hog /mow again the engine will have it's tongue hangin out from the load , as stuff is growing fast.
Have read of folks putting a cold wet rag on top of the coils housing to try to keep it cool. But being electrical , I have not tried it. Something about electricity and water...
I'll be seeing anti freeze from the thermosiphon system before it stalls from heat though.

Keep at it. Just a temporary delay.
Browse new tractor prices (nevermind availability) and your old iron horses will start lookin better. ....

Oh somedays she works like a charm, then other days it needs a hug.
I'm the first to admit it that I'm hard one on anything when it comes to cars/trucks/tools/machines...I work them hard.
I told the fellow yesterday to hook up the parking brake on the ATV, seems like everything in my life is on a hill.
He said probably the cable-we just put it up on the trailer, I looked and it wasn't connected to the lever. :dontknow:
"Oh that's an easy fix-just put a clip on it" :laughing7: Yup I just get on it and drive it-never look at it........

New tractors are scary-that's why I prefer to fix old-but a 4x4 one would be a sweet dream.

I have been in many cars where the driver felt a need to show me how fast the car could go. Got the pee scared out of me almost always. Somebody remind me to never accept a ride from Roger. :laughing9:

Been in many that just rented a spot in the memory of my brain.

Best bud and me started to drink the left overs from the previous many months of boozing.
His mom told him to get rid of all the beer in the basement he had stashed there.
We each would get a 12 pack every night and if there was 1 or 2 left he's put in the cellar.
We proceeded to drink it all on a summer's Sunday, first 6 were skunky but they went down.
Proceeded to got loaded/sober/drunker...
I passed out, and we hit the shoulder of the gravel on the highway edge, and I said go left-then in a little bit we were hitting the gravel on the drivers side, and I said turn a little to the right-well this happened a few times and finally I opened my eyes looked over at buddy driving.
Totally passed out, sober dribbling out off the corner of the mouth-and still driving down the highway.
I slapped his chest and yelled wake up!
There he was always with the famous $hit eating grin on that guys mug-regardless of what was happening...

We took some ludes and smoking pot and they were drinking. I was 15 and not driving yet.
Wow, I wouldn't have figured you for that kind of stuff. You seem like a responsible, level headed person. Quite a turnaround, good for you.

Good morning, pirates and piratesses. Where are the piratesses?

2 Walmarts
2 Meijers
3 Krogers
1 IGA
4 Dollar Generals
4 Family Dollars

None of them. Not one have my coffee creamer anymore. But International Delight tells me they are still making it. Argh! So, I bought this chocolate carmel crap. Crap it is! I wonder? :icon_scratch: ??? Do you think salted carmel Kahlua would taste good as a creamer? :dontknow:

Raining all day today. Blimey! Confined to the galley. Who made this mess anyway? Bloody pirates!

My bride drinks that in her coffee too. So far no problem with that product. We shop the smaller stores now a lot. They seem to keep a very good stock of stuff. Not near the walk either.

That grin story reminded me of another time. Was dating the mr. went cruising with his cousin. Fist time for me meeting the cuz. Cousin was driving. Trans am or camaro, not sure. It was black. See I can remember colors. I?m wired different. Cousin Tommy was a very handsome young man. Always reminded me of Bo Duke and he had a beautiful smile like Bo. There were 5 of us in the car. I am in the middle in the back seat. We are on this winding road that comes out to a bridge which crosses over a river. Then it?s a very straight down hill and up hill. There?s a stop sign at the top . You can?t see it, but if you know the roads, you know it?s there. We come out of the curves onto the bridge and Tommy says, ?Watch this, Cuz.? He floored it down the hill. I?m scared $#!+less but inwardly talking to myself. It?s ok . We will be slowing down when we go up hill. But we don?t. And I am thinking he has to slow down because the stop sign is there. But we?re not. We crested and left the pavement a little and much to our surprise, including Tommy?s, there is a car at that stop sign. He literally stood on the brake. We came to a screeching, sliding sideways stop within a fraction of the car. Tommy laughed and laughed.

Well, thank you. Mostly, I just smoked pot. I loved it. Occasionally spells with harder drugs. I didn?t care for beer, still don?t. I was a rebellious youth. Some would say I had a good excuse, but that?s all it was. An excuse. I still had a choice and I made a lot of bad ones. The best choice I finally made was to forgive people and move on with my life.
I like to kid around on here with ARC and everyone about the rum. Actually, I do a lot of kidding around about it with my friends too. (Would you be surprised to find out that I talk like a pirate in my world?) But I am more of an occasional drinker.

You are probably right. People don?t openly talk about it because they are afraid of the stigma or judgement from others. Here?s one that floored me once. I was in charge of directing vacation Bible school. We had a few people from other churches helping out. Now this is small town Ohio churches where you think everyone was always a Christian and always good and proper, except for yourself. More and more people are talking about past drug use and other no-nos. This southern Baptist pastor originally from Tennessee opens up and tells me that his wife used to be a prostitute and he was her pimp. My jaw dropped. Never saw that coming.

Well well... what webs one weaves. heh

I like my coffee like my ice cream . Souther butter pecan. I cannot find that creamer any where. I tried using butter pecan ice cream in my coffee, but it was not the same. The salted caramel I was referring to is a liqueur. Probably shouldn?t do that in the morning. LOL [emoji23]

Here , here!
