Dave I was just thinking last night about the chickens. Now most know what it's like to be greeted at the door from their loyal puppy dog, all happy to see you.
Well when I or the Mrs go into the barn we have 15-20 chattering hens all running up with a greeting. (Cupboard love most certainly)
It brightens up the day-and my thought was "It was probably one of the best things about 2020, getting the chickens.
OBY-these will be their Daddy's.

I heard back from my potential employer in Florida yesterday, they're currently getting quotes for my 'Benefits Package' for their first Canadian employee.
Now I'm just waiting for that job offer to emailed through.
That's great news Dave-It seemed that you started this latest process around the same time i got my chicks.
They started laying yesterday-and it's about time the company played some offers on the table for you as well.
Congrats Dave-That will lift some weight off the shoulders.

Has anyone raised quail before? I’m thinking about trying some this spring. I saw some home made pens and been getting to be an expert watching utube.

Good layers of marble sized eggs-great tasting eggs though-just need a dozen to have a good little feed.
No I have nobody in the circle of friends that have quail. Just chicken, geese, ducks, guinea
Though I'm thinking of turning the attic section of the barn into a Guinea Hen roost .
