Yep....somehow it all figures. Electronic wishes & form letter electronic Christmas greetings. Nobody in person, or even via phone making any contact attempts. Not *even* a single , form letter Christmas card!

Lots of well wishes and offers of dinner at many places. All of them impossible to get to in a covid lock down scenario. Pretty safe invites.

And......now?
The power's gone out!

Opening presents....looks like the rat killer speedy did quite well with cat toys and catnip. My son is maneuvering his new remote controlled crane...and I'm looking to install our new doorbell cam. Soon ill be testing out my new skorp....thats a wood carving tool. Its also blowing 20 here and cold. The drizzling rain would be snow anywhere else. I ate so much food at Christmas eve dinner that I've had an upset stomach all morning. Hopeing a couple Christmas pancakes will help. Merry Christmas to all and especially those who are alone like whadi...merry Christmas buddy.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Unfortunately not a lot of joy with covid and all we just have make the best of a bad situation.

Like you wishing 2021 brings us all towards a more positive future.

Here, on the left coast, I'm hiding--waiting for my granddaughter to come downstairs and see that Santa has consumed a cookie, milk and even a small carrot.
For one day, I'll push back in my mind the tragedy that surrounds us all, yet, with sadness, continue to remember the terrible price so many have paid.

Well the pressure has started to climb up again. It was 46F when we got home at a little past midnight, now its only 34F with a windchill.
It has been raining since 9am yesterday and the total accumulation has now gone over 2" and still we have about 4-5hrs of the wet stuff yet.
Strange wet Xmas for sure, no white what so ever.

Driving on the gravel roads last night it was a max 20-30mph in 4 wheel drive.
The sitting water made huge puddles to where it came up over the hood and covered the lights & windshield with each hit.
A near stop till the wipers cleared. The sloppiness of the roadway threw the truck around as if we were on an icy surface which tested the skills of a driver. (me)
Over all I was certainly glad I opted for the Tundra instead of the Honda for the drive.

Rather have snow at times as the roads are bright, the glare of the headlights are less.
Black and wet and the glare made it hard to see at times. But after a bit the traffic died off and it was a road of being alone, travelling along looking at the Christmas lights.
