A tad bit over red line.:laughing7:
========

Well, it sounds like it went out with dignity. Do you remember what the red line was ? 5,500 or 6,000 ?
What was yours Rook ?

I think I hit 4500 a couple times, but I had a small block Ford. When it blew, I went to a Boss 302 :laughing9:

The i-pad has some serious lag time, like "yesterday".

That was 50 years ago all I recall was SMOKE.

I also had a 65 Mustang 289 Hipo, banged second gear and twisted the rear universal and dropped the drive shaft in the middle of the road..I sure did go through a LOT of tires.:laughing7:

I take it no drivers ed in high school.:laughing7: kidding

I had a Hurst shifter and everytime I went to speed shift the tranny would lock up between first and second. Then one day the shifter just snapped in half, ( I was racing my younger brother in his 1968 AMX ). That short wheel base car was a tire shredder too. ( As Bart can testify ). 8-)

Even though mine was blown too, I took it apart to see what the damage was. When they let go they make a mess, especially in the oil pan. I think I still have that piston and mangled rod around here as a reminder.

You have way more patience than I would have Beep. One day they are operating at a liveable speed, next day is like the old Commodore 64's from the 80's.

We had two driver's Ed classes and both the teachers were as different as night and day.
My teacher made us drive on the freeways, interstate, and in the middle of town during rush hour.
The other teacher let the students go to the Dairy Queen and car washes.

I remember that our classroom program was gruesome. In order to try and shock us into safe driving and using seat belts, they brought in actual Highway Patrol video of accidents which actually showed the people killed . Still, we lived dangerously.

I'm having a metal roof put on and several people told me, " there goes your Wi-Fi " but with the job almost done, no problems.

Rook, this is what, the third day ? How long does out take ?

The weather has slowed them down. Fronts moving through with rain. With the metal roof wet they can't work on it. They are not here today because of rain this morning and 70% chance all day. Tomorrow is suppose to be nice. The boss said they would be back tomorrow. I'm thinking another day or 2 including clean up. I'm taking my Fisher LTD out to find screws here in a minute. Guess I'll go.
See y'all later.

When I had my roofs done I looked at the metal roof, but with all the hail we get, I did not want that extra noise. Took them 1 1/2 days to do my house and two garages. I had them strip everything off all the roofs and lay down new wood, water barriers, ice edging, and then the shingles. Was surprised how fast they were. They did a good job on clean up except for a few nails and staples. It was a lot better than I anticipated. Hope you are happy with yours when it is done.
