THE Random Chat Thread - AKA "The RCT" - No shirt or shoes required - Open 24 / 7

Finally found this thread again! Whew! Not really that difficult, once I cleared the Spanish cobb-webs. (Nyuck-Nyuck)

Nothing convincing..... But is out of hearing range , and would be muted too as close to the ground as it is.
I didn't have the window open so it had to be close or quite loud.
Tractor bucket load still secure after double checking , and no tracks in the sand/gravel drive .

Checked entrance to old trail into woods nearby. No traffic there either.

Temp has increased quite a bit and no pops of expansion noted. Eventually today the East side exterior wall siding should expand enough for a couple quieter snapping sounds. It don't thunk.

If close , the dogs will note decking rapid expansion too. At least they holler in the winter on cold nights as boards contract and nails pop.
Your post about things that go bump in the night ...
Any chance there was a low cloud cover that night making the sounds travel? When I lived in Ct. we could hear the cars on the "local" tracks on Sat. nights and the only race tracks I knew were 20-30 miles away in Agawam.

Welcome to The RCT PetesPocket. :)

Morning Peeps.

Good morning crew net

Morning Pepper... Rook.

Cut my teeth watching Red, and one of my deepest regrets was not making the time to see him in person when he did one of his last performances.
My buddy has one of his clown paintings hanging in his bathroom (only spot he's allowed to hang it) :laughing7:
He say's every time he looks at it-it makes him smile. Eh Red you did it-you made the world a happier place.

Good morning ARC, rook & Jim.

Good morning ARC, Dave, Jim & Rook and Pete if he's still online.

67.5F was the temp. out yesterday.
In the pile of wood chips it was a toasty 130.5F.
A difference of 63 degrees-I found that to be really cool.
Now all need is a huge pile of working wood mulch, thermodynamics and presto we have a heating source for the winter. :)

Hey did anyone else notice that the 'Likes' counter is missing from the top of the page? :icon_scratch:
Maybe it had to be removed due the sites poor service lately?

Jim,

Some people swear by those wood compressed pellet stoves not sure how cost effective they are.

Good morning, mateys!

I’m off to take my dad to the flea market. Catch up later.
