The Queen’s Jewels from 1715 fleet

quite correct... there was a huge long and costly war that happened because of the king of France ( the house of BOURBON) declaring himself to be the king of both France and Spain at the same time …. the other major powers at he time did not want that much power in any1 person's hands ...so they demanded that the king of France give up one of the two titles , he refused and there was war ---France and Spain vs England and the Dutch ...the French / Spanish side lost and the king was forced to split the two titles ...giving up the French title and keeping the Spanish one ...since Spain had many new world colonies that were producing gold / silver and other goods as well..the French fleur de Lis and the cross of Burgandy were two French items that became thought of as being Spanish over time … the reason that the Spaish 1715 fleet was so rich was due to the war Spain feared that their treasure fleets would be robbed by raiders so no treasure fleets sailed from 1711 to 1715 thus the 1715 fleet was basically 4 years worth of treasure fleets in 1

I guess since 2 years held up, would equal 4 years of treasure... never thought of it that way before.
