Yea I always stick it high in the sky when I turn it on. I just don't know what it was sunday that made it so annoying to use. I took it out yesterday and tried it in all the frequencies and everything ran fine. On sunday I had to turn the sensitivity down to below 80 before it would be quiet unless I ran it in 18. My fiend was using a cz-20 but he was a football field away at times and I was still unstable.
So while I took the machine out yesterday to see if it would run right in the lower freqs I decided to go over area we already hit and see if anything would pop out that the 18kh didn't signal well. Right next to a hole already dug I got a good signal in 8kh. repeatable both ways, nothing around it. Nice high tone. Took out a plug and cut out a big root and under it was the best find I have ever had!! My heart stopped. I never thought I would find one but there it was. Just unbelievable the way things happen some times. I'm still floored and and happy as can be. It's thin and worn but I don't care. Wonder why it was in the middle of a civil war camp site?
Thanks for the encouragement to get out and test the machine a bit!
