ML SDC-2300, Fisher F-75, XP Deus,
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Per a conversation I had today with Tim Mallory - VP of marketing and sales at Fisher/First Texas - I am apparently “customer zero” for the AQ.

For reasons of copyright protection (which I don’t understand) it was important to sell exactly 1 Fisher Impulse AQ in calendar year 2019. I guess because I am a PITA, I was invited to be it. It had to be a bona fide sale, so I am paying for it - cheerfully. Can’t discuss the price because that may or may not equal the eventual launch price.

I am told it will ship Monday. Since I figured that I was “in the catbird seat” I asked them to include a Fisher cap to replace the one I lost a while back.

My nearest US beach is in San Diego and I have no time to drive there soon. I will be doing an “unboxing” video and some stuff of using it inland here in Gold Canyon AZ - where there is no gold. Imay borrow some of my wife’s “minor” bits to practice with however.

Under the knob these days there is a rotary encoder, not a variable resistor.

When oscilloscopes went digital they went to menus with one knob, and then started adding the knobs back in
because human engineers like them...

There are reasons I still wear a self winding watch... nice to see someone still designs metal detectors for humans.

Does this technology work on land or is it only for gold hunting in the water?

There is a nugget version under test
AQ does not have soil adjustment
(no ground balance)

and reject mode does not work
as on a vlf or mlutifrequency
it is optimized beach and only on gold
low conductors

you can use it in the land
to search for gold coins for example
but in reject mode
you are going to cut the iron, the lead
and a large part of the high conductors

what I mean
you can't cut the iron
to search for lead bullets
he can't do it

but he can see gold
behind the iron or behind the lead
with a level of separation never seen before........
