If you go to the Progress News Paper here in Clearfield Pa. look up paper with date Feb 4th 2008, we are on the front page but the info you want on the bullet is on page six . Gill worked at both gun shops . That's it I am done .
What are Gil's qualifications for correctly identifying Civil War artifacts?
What caliber is it?
PSU looked at it.Did they give you some written documentation to help support your cause?
Your problem is bullets for muzzleloaders have looked like this for many years.
Do a search for minie bullet/ball.
I myself used that particular bullet to hunt with in the mid 1980's.
Do you have anything other then this single bullet that indicates this is a Civil War site?
This is what you simply can't grasp. It takes evidence and a lot of it to change history or get government agencies to come investigate.
Just because Gil who was working the counter at a gun shop says it is a Civil War bullet.Do you expect DCNR to say go ahead and dig all you want?
DCNR let you drill to try and prove gold was there. You failed and used artifacts to try and prove what you claimed and they were not from the right time period.DCNR then shut you down.
DCNR didn't even have to let you go as far as they did and you probably ruined it if anyone else would ever make a find on their property and seek their permission to try and investigate further.
I do like that you are now directing everyone to your new bigger better site ....... just like I posted a page or 2 back.
You should get a TV show because you are very good at following a script.
