Started My 6" Build

Stuff happens, that was last summer and we have been busy buying parts and pieces to make the operation better. That Subaru six sounds like a good piece. What do they get for one, and are they available in box stores, or??? Output shaft size? Keyed or threaded. Thanks in advance.

I really like the profile, should capture fine gold great. I think Bill-Costa Rica uses this...
I seen someone in a old thread of his said graingers but it's a no-go, I cant find it listed. I browsed all the expanded metal they had listed, could of missed it I guess.

Struck out at those sites...grr

Sold my dredge finally!

Just placed a order with Keene...gulp...
2 - P180s keyed shaft
2 = FV25 2.5" foot valves
Drive pully for t-80
WPK2 - 1" blaster port
grand total of $920
I should be dredging within 2 weeks!!!

Look at this place.
They have 2 that look about right.
The are called Galaxy and Sunshade.

Expanded Metal

They are in Ohio.

Thanks RR, it's very close to what I was looking for... How goes the hunt for your guy's dredge?

Another update/change: I think I'm back to doing a over/under box again. I will be going a different route though. The more I study Dave McCrackin's Double Screen Classification system
» Double-screen Classification System in Dredging the more I'm convinced that this is the direction I need to go. The gold here in Idaho, err well where I dredge is all fine, so I'm thinking that's what I need to focus on. In the past I must of missed this video segment:

I went the 3 stage route on my 4" because I did not like the idea of having to clean the whole recovery system out just to check my values. I think I take his example and modify it to fit my needs.

Yesterday I had to work on my truck, shocks and idler arm replacement, then shop for more parts so only got to work a little on my dredge. Started on the last attempt of a heater.

I tried this before.. But the bad things about it is that screens like packing up and adjusting both screens is time consuming to get it right .. Meaning if you want more water flow between two mesh you need to adjust about all the screws thats hold it in place to get it a tad higher for more water flow and space in between them.. Edit.. If a sluice is long enough you can achive three different clasification without all the weight and complexity of that system. . If you want you could put two seperated under current one at the front of the sluice and one that start at the middle to the end. You start with trying to trap the fines first any that escape can be traped up by the other set of trap for the medium size gold.

@ Omni. He is going to wait until one comes along on Craigslist or somewhere.
After I download Dave Mcrackens book, and keenes, I showed him although he could use a HF water pump, ect.
It would only be a 2 inch dredge with 15 feet of hose like I showed him in Kazcoros thread.
It would be better to get one put together.

I also heard that the situation in Cali is or might see more dredges come up for sale.
I think it was in a thread on this site about cali.
I wonder f that sunscreen expanded would be good in a sluice. Recirc.

sunscreen needs lots of water. so it may work if your running hard. the majority og gold that i normally get is fine, so i dont need riffels oe heavy raised expanded in my dredge, but i have a set of riffels for it IF i get to run in a stream that has some small nuggets in it!

Scored this today at a scrap yard for $5.90 It's only 1/4" and I wanted 3/8". I checked every single metal supply business in the area and only one carries wire mesh and that's on 1/4". I still need some 1/8". I considered switching to 3/16" perforated metal but nobody carries that either.......

On a side note, I'm very disgruntled with Keene right now. I ordered my stuff on Monday and here it is Friday and they HAVE not shipped it yet. WTF they are about to lose a cx.

Got one of my engine's mounted and building a bracket to mount my T80 so I can adjust the belt.
