Spain is now in the treasure business!

 To you sabre. You are right on the money. Spain wasn't interested until they saw there was money to be found/made. They probably have plenty of sights to hunt now, since they stole the data from Odyssey's computers. They are trying to get part of prize without doing the work upfront. When are they going to sue Mel Fisher?
They stole the data from Odyssey :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7: what are you on man! How do you think Odyssey get their
data from, wallmart?
Hey Jeff, can we sue this guy for liable?

They got nothing from Odyssey's hard drives. They were wiped clean.

No ship in the history of the world ever carried 900 tons of gold. Not even close. ???

Odyssey got their data by doing the hard work and time consuming task of searching the sea floor with side scan sonar.

Ossy,

He is talking about the physical search data, not the research data. Anyway, as Jeff stated, the drives were clean. No data was stolen.

Jeff wiped clean, including GPS???
Bartman, Spain did not want their research data, they wanted GPS locations to prove exactly which waters they where in!
Nothing to hide :icon_scratch:

spain's going after wrecks -- the us govt is going after wrecks --- ( good ole govts once again "squeezing" areas that were once --"international waters" grabbing up everything sounds like the 1500's again that ocean is MINE)-- there once was a time and place for bold salvage men who worked hard and risked much to find wrecks to bring wealth to their families * -- the days of "private bussiness" is now endangered * --the private sector should sue to "prevent" these govt owned tax payor funded grubbers from harvesting non govermental ship wrecks * spain can harvest (spain govt war shipwrecks) us can harvest (us govt war shipwrecks) --- but merchant class wrecks that full under general "salvage rules" are private sector work .---- cab drivers wouldn't want or allow the govt to suddenly put--- govt employed tax payor funded cab drivers in every city to compete against them

excellent example Ivan... Limo Bob :icon_pirat:

This is just one example of what has gone wrong. I am afraid the founding fathers are rolling over right now.....

various govts using tax payor funding are getting involved with what should be private bussiness * -- the international waters salvage of merchant vessels *

various govts using tax payor money are getting involved in what should be * private enterprizes bussiness* --"the salvage of merchant vessel wrecks in international waters"

how would you like the govt to suddenly get into whatever line of bussiness you work in-- using tax payor money to squeeze you out of your line of bussiness?
