Some fall field finds.

Greetings friends.
I have been hitting several old farmstead sites and found a few goodies. The medium sized copper is an 1835 British Farther [1/4 Penny] and the 1816 Kreuzer is an Austrian coin.
Sure hope we have more warm weather before the ground freezes.

Wow, great finds once again Merf! I really like the hardware token and the Ein Kuezer coin I found one of the same date about 25 years ago.

How the HECK did I miss this post??!!

That is a BEAUTIFUL assortment of finds--and believe me, I know how many hours it takes out in the fields by yourself to dig that many keepers.

I wish I could find more tokens in my area here.

That Kreutzer is an unusual find. It is interesting to see a copper one in circulation here in the U.S. (the other early German or Austrian coins dug here in the states and posted were silver, that I've seen).



Your photos are excellent. I hope you get another warm day or two to hunt this year--I always Greatly enjoy reading your posts.
