I have to laugh at all the complaints of "overpriced" metal detectors. Do some research on the costs of top-end detectors in the 1970s, and then look at the cost of living index from then to now. If the prices held constant with inflation then the top of the line models would be $2900 or higher, so consider everything under that a bargain!
Because ones were buying them then the big sales stopped so to sell them they had to cut the price..And when the big sales stopped …………..WOW……... did they cut the price you can buy a new one now for what used ones are selling forDon't get me wrong because I like the Deus but if they could drop the price by almost half why didn't they just sell them for that from the beginning?

Well these detector companies has these guys by the you know what … and the more they squeeze it seems like ………A lot out there like it and make up all these excuses why they are paying these high prices……. And then thank the companies for such a good deal.. I will not pay there prices if i can not find used then i just go to another brand …They all find metal………I took my 250 out the other week ……….And after i got done ….. I thought man that is all i need it beeped i dug and WOW there was a coin or pull tab … YES they have every one by the you know what……keppy, right after I started the overpriced peripheral coil thread, Minelab started giving away an aditional larger coil for FREE with every new CTX, as soon as everyone started arguing with me about how reasonably priced an additional $600 coil was, they shut the offer down after about two weeks....amazing Huh? Coincidence?
Luckily, El Padron got his new coil for free

Yes and these guys will grab them up .. these companies know that except Deus they found out you can only push so far .. The reason i give up on Minelab is for what they charge for any type of extras not only coils..The trend I don't like and seems the new direction is with only authorized overly expensive coils. Started with exterra series now fbs2 series.i was looking on ebay and 6inch coils for $300 are you kidding me.
It looks like it is working on Deus..Supply and demand, don't like the price don't buy.... Its called free enterprise, a business has the right to charge what ever price they want for their product .....
Stop buying all detectors and accessories for several years, see how your boycott works out...

No, they're just not selling any anymore, that's all.Only reason price dropped is the increase value of dollar over the Euro...XP which makes Deus is in France which uses Euro, dollar value vs euro goes up prices come down in US, dollar value vs Euro goes down price in US goes up.....
