That auction site sure has a lot of “Native American Art”.

Here is an example…does the one pictured in the bottom look like the one in the upper photo? I don’t think so. Clearly not the same object.
OP's post at top is example of popeye birdstone, one you posted is birdstone. The Popeye was a rarer variation of the birdstone.

I'm definitely no expert but I do know that NAs did use granite for effigies though not as common as banded slate or soap stone type materials because it was hard to work.. The granite this is made from looks like St Albans granite from South Carolina. My issue with it is that it looks too clean and perfect. No patina even in the holes. Unusual for sure. I agree with the suggestion to take it to a show and have some experts examine it.
